Job Description

MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a Director, Sponsorship Consulting to join our team and work with one of our Fortune 500 clients. You will lead clients on best-in-class partnership strategy, activation, rightsholder management, and measurement. Working with clients and partner with teammates to implement branded activation programs.

You will report into the Senior Director, Sponsorship Consulting and this is a hybrid opportunity (2-3 days in our Charlotte office).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop integrated strategic solutions to client challenges
  • Lead junior teams to ensure flawless activation and deliver client goals
  • Regular communication and collaboration with clients, rightsholders and other client roster agencies to ensure best-in-class solutions
  • Collaborate with sanctioning bodies and rightsholders to help develop outstanding marketing partnerships
  • Maintain oversight on activation programming including overall annual and per-event budgeting
  • Understand project budgets and manage costs while following both client and internal guidelines
  • Moderate travel is required

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of sponsorship/partnership industry experience
  • 5+ years of NFL property experience, working on high-profile sponsorship programs.
  • BA/BS in a Marketing or related
  • Experience working on high-profile sponsorship programs involving properties NASCAR, NBA, MLS, PGA TOUR, NHL, USOC, and MLB (not including sales, operations, or athlete management experience), and high-profile Entertainment properties
  • Craft and present high-level sponsorship concepts to senior client leaders
  • Knowledge of and experience with the full marketing mix, social media, content marketing, influencer approaches, and marketing promotions
  • Produce creative solutions to business and marketing challenges facing our clients
  • Contributionto internal activities (team building, events, off-sites)

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $72,960-$105,600. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
