Job Purpose Summary:
The Foodservice Account Manager will help develop and lead all execution of Kate’s Real Food Foodservice strategy. Reporting to the Director of Foodservice, the Account Manager will oversee and expand distribution within College and University, corporate dining programs (ie Compass, Sodexo, Aramark), hotels, targeted QSR operators, and other away-from-home points of distribution in the channel. The ideal candidate has at least a starting knowledge of the foodservice channel and distribution (ie DOT, UNFI, Vistar, etc) and is a go getter and is willing to dive in and figure it out. The Account manager must be able to interact across organizational levels including buyers, decision makers, brokers and internal cross functional partners. This person should be located in the Western half of the country.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop strong customer partnerships: develop, build and foster relationships with current and future customers to drive sales and create long term value
- Work closely with current and future partners to ensure all sales programs, distribution growth, and business development opportunities executed properly
- Aggressively pursue and develop new business opportunities and relationships
- Monitor account pricing to ensure that the Kate’s is highly competitive in the category while maintaining a strong ROI for our brand
- Monitor and track customer performance and implement additional support programs when necessary to ensure account success
- Monitor sales results, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) and hold themselves accountable for achieving targets.
- Broker Management: Effectively communicate with brokers and hold broker reps accountable for executing sales objectives
- Participate and contribute to weekly and monthly sales meetings.
- Develop an understanding of key brand attributes, certifications, and overall mission.
- Support and attend key account events including, but not limited to, trade shows, key account meetings and sales team trainings, and marketing events.
- Be a true Kate’s Real Food ambassador and spread with word about our amazing products in all avenues, both in and out of the workspace.
Expectations and Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Consumer Package Good Sales support role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with key operators in the foodservice segment ie Compass, Aramark, Sodexo, etc.
- Must be a self-starter and takes initiative to develop and learn channel better
- Experience creating and analyzing sales/financial data.
- High proficiency & experience working with Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with internal teams and cross functional partners.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Travel: Willing to travel 30% + to client appointments and shows
· Compensation:
o Base annual salary: $75k
o Health benefits after 90 days
o 401k package available (no match)
o PTO: 3-weeks annually + 8 annual holidays
o Expense reimbursement for approved expenditures
o Mileage: Reimbursed at current IRS reimbursement rate
o Compensation package is subject to change based on yearly evaluations
