About this role: 
The South Texas Market Manager – Off Premise is a critical part of the AMW team and supports our mission by increasing distribution and growing sales of American Metal Whiskey primarily in off-premise accounts in a key focus market for the brand. The American Metal Whiskey Market Manager South TX is a business development leader introducing AMW to new customers whose success will hinge on building relationships with industry buyers, staff, influencers, and distributors. Primary geographic focus for this role San Antonio-Austin. This role is essential to American Metal, and the Market Manager represents AMW as a lifestyle brand in the market. This role reports directly to the President of American Metal Whiskey.
 
Responsibilities include:
Plan and conduct targeted sales calls to develop account relationships, secure and grow distribution and sales, and enhance the reputation of American Metal.
·      Build on existing relationships with current licensees and their staff to enhance brand visibility, execute in-store brand experiences, and drive sales.
·      Plan and execute retail merchandising, store tastings, and other strategic promotional events.
·      Engage with and provide brand education to consumers, retail staff, and distributor teams.
·      Support American Metal at key shows (eg Born Free, Handbuilt, Lone Star Rally, etc) with in-market account development, sales promotions, and retail activations.
·      Maintain expert, current knowledge of all aspects of the American Metal brand and represent the brand and lifestyle to key buyers, core accounts, at core events, etc.
·      Report to and interact with management and other members of the American Metal team to maintain a solid connection to the company and its mission.
·      Consistently share target lists of key accounts, outreach, feedback and goals, and sales reports.
 
This role requires self-discipline, time management and organization. Requirements
Along with knowledge of and interest in craft spirits and retailer operations, the AMW Market Manager TX role requires:
·      Knowledge of and appreciation for craftsmanship, customization, and world-class service.
·      Demonstrated success and experience in a business development and sales role for a spirit brand in Texas.
·      Experience working with off-premise chain accounts.
·      Strong customer service orientation.
·      Demonstrated skills in building rapport and productive relationships with customers and team members.
·      Motivation and ability to execute plans and meet goals.
·      Ability to be productive while working independently and within a team environment.
·      Ability to organize work, record, and report on activities, and communicate effectively with management, team members, and customers.
·      Schedule flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
·      Ability and availability to travel for work, occasionally overnight.
·      Ability to move and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.
 
Compensation
The successful candidate will be paid a base salary with a lucrative and uncapped commission opportunity, a vehicle allowance, and an expense account. Company benefits include healthcare, vision, dental, life insurance, FSA, and retirement savings plans.
