Job Description – Market Specialist – FL
 
 
The Market Specialist Manager will be part of an entrepreneurial and determined team, focused on driving sales and building brand awareness by maintaining relationships with our distributor partners, top On-Premise Accounts and Key Off-Premise stores. They will work closely with the JYPSI Spirits team to assist in executing the sales and marketing plan. The position will also focus on educating bartenders, beverage managers, servers, and consumers. Establish excellent relationships with key Off-Premise accounts in Northern Florida. Additionally, the Market Specialist will contribute to local marketing and event promotions. 
 
We will consider highly motivated individuals that exhibit passion for the spirits industry, sales, and marketing. Candidates from retail, wholesale, and supplier side of the industry preferred. Relationships with BreakThru Beverage in Florida is a plus!
 
 
Develop and Manage Key Accounts
  • Work closely with SE Director to help close out yearly goals.
  • ·Maintain an organized list of key accounts in the territory.
  • ·Call on key accounts (on/off) on an ongoing basis (8-12 per day)
  •  Focus primarily off-premise for volume while keeping on-premise sales between 20-30% in order to maintain brand health.
In the Field:
  • ·Regularly set-up and attend on-premise promotional events to oversee, assist and evaluate the quality of the promotion.
  • ·Bring partnership and event opportunities to sales and marketing leads for consideration.
  • ·Direct accounts in proper and effective merchandising and consumer awareness of brands.
  • ·Setting up distributor ride-withs weekly both on and off premise. 
  • ·This role is 90% working in the marketplace.
  • Willingness to “roll sleeves up” and work the streets. 
  • ·Execute tastings (in store) as needed.
  • ·Conduct staff training with on and off-premise accounts – scheduled or pop-in approach
 
Distributor Management:
  • Build strong relationships based on mutual respect and outstanding follow-up throughout the distributor organization.
  • Ensure shelf prices match strategy. Be aware of and knowledgeable of competitor pricing.
  • Make sure distributors have all tools available to achieve success.
  • Conducting monthly meetings with teams at the distributor.
 
Requirements
  • The position is based in the North FL area, preferably in Panhandle or Jacksonville market. 
  • Must be able to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Reports to Director SE for Whiskey JYPSI.
  • Relationships with key people in the industry. 
  • Results Oriented: Strong work ethic and drive for success to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Budget Management: adhering to budgets, helping with forecasting, and providing monthly reporting both qualitative and        .      quantitative
  • Teamwork: Ability to work and communicate productively with colleagues and customers

  • ·Timely, accurate and comprehensive reporting for market
