Southern Glazer's offers a competitive compensation package. Pay is hourly with expected first year earnings between $62,400 - $68,640 / year. This is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview
The Accounts Payable Clerk II is responsible for coding, processing and data entry of vendor payables invoices. Duties may also include opening, stamping and distribution of department mail, filing as needed, problem research and resolution and communication with internal and external personnel.

Overview
The Accounts Payable Clerk II is responsible for coding, processing and data entry of vendor payables invoices. Duties may also include opening, stamping and distribution of department mail, filing as needed, problem research and resolution and communication with internal and external personnel.
Primary Responsibilities
- Sort, file, and maintain accounts payable files and related documents, for example, inserting new or removing existing materials as needed and disposing of obsolete files in accordance with established procedures
- Respond to customer and vendor inquiries regarding account information via telephone, email, and/or fax
- Code and enter accounting information, for example, invoices, expense reports, and payment and check information into computerized databases and spreadsheets and validate to ensure accuracy
- Research and resolve accounting errors, for example, invoice errors, errors with expense reports, reconcile vendor statements, and cash application errors
- Print various accounts payable reports as requested
- Coordinate with customers and vendors to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve payment application issues as required by assigned area
- Assist with updating and reconciling ledgers, journals, and/or accounts, as needed
- Perform check runs for assigned Division(s)
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency plus 2 years of experience
- Knowledge with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), federal regulatory guidelines, and organizational objectives
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets in creating pivot tables, develop charts, and complex formulas
Physical Demands
- Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
- Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs
