For three generations, the Cooper family has been crafting a full range of spirits, cordials, and ready-to-drink cocktails from the heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As the oldest cordial producer in America and the largest in Pennsylvania, Charles Jacquins et Cie., Inc. is expanding its product offerings and reach throughout the South Jersey market. We are seeking energetic, entrepreneurial, and results-driven sales professionals to become part of our team and drive growth in this dynamic region.

The Market Manager for South Jersey will be responsible for managing and expanding our presence across the region, focusing on both off-premise and on-premise accounts, including a dedicated focus on casino establishments. This role involves overseeing a route of 50-70 accounts, building relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering results. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, thrives on challenges, and has a deep understanding of the South Jersey market. This position reports up through the Vice President of Northeast Sales and provides substantial opportunities for growth and impact within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Market Leadership:
  • Serve as the face of Charles Jacquins in South Jersey, developing deep relationships with key accounts and establishing the brand as a leader in the market.
  • Identify and capitalize on unique opportunities specific to the South Jersey area, leveraging local market knowledge to drive growth.
  • Collaborate with distributors and accounts to tailor strategies that resonate with the diverse and competitive South Jersey market.
Account Management:
  • Manage a route of 50-70 accounts, primarily off-premise (e.g., liquor stores), with some on-premise accounts (e.g., bars, restaurants).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers through professionalism, product knowledge, and excellent sales/service techniques.
  • Ensure product orders are placed and communicated effectively, maintaining optimal inventory levels to prevent out-of-stocks.
Casino Focus:
  • Dedicate efforts to establish and grow relationships with casino establishments in the region, understanding their unique needs and preferences.
  • Implement tailored marketing and sales strategies to increase brand presence and sales within casino venues.
Sales Growth:
  • Increase market share in assigned accounts by executing sales strategies and promotions.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve targets.
  • Identify and solicit potential new accounts within the assigned territory.
Merchandising and Promotions:
  • Ensure all products are properly merchandised, with accurate pricing and point-of-sale materials.
  • Plan and execute promotional events, samplings, and tastings tailored for South Jersey consumers.
  • Monitor product rotation and ensure that there is no out-of-code product in accounts.
Distributor Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners, ensuring alignment on sales goals and execution plans for South Jersey.
  • Monitor and manage distributor performance through KPIs, including distribution growth and activation of key accounts.
  • Conduct regular planning and review meetings with distributor teams to ensure progress against objectives.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Develop and execute an annual sales plan for South Jersey with measurable goals and milestones.
  • Provide regular updates on sales performance, competitive activity, and market insights to senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, deliveries, and customer interactions.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1–5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the beverage alcohol or spirits industry.
  • Proven ability to excel in entrepreneurial, fast-paced roles that require both strategic and tactical execution.
  • Strong knowledge of the South Jersey market, including key accounts, trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Experience managing a diverse range of accounts, including off-premise, on-premise, and casino establishments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with distributors, accounts, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proficiency in using analytics to drive strategy and identify growth opportunities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to travel extensively within South Jersey and surrounding areas.
  • Ability to carry/lift 45-65 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with international brand management and market expansion.
  • Knowledge of current trends in the food and beverage industry.
