Alice Mushrooms is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to support the brand’s rapid expansion into nationwide retail. 

Alice is a functional mushroom brand on a mission to spread the power of mushrooms in the most delightful ways possible. Launched in October 2022, alice is venture-backed and rapidly growing. The brand is entering mass retail, introducing new SKUs, and building out a small but mighty team.

The Retail Operations Manager will report directly to alice’s COO/Co-Founder and the brand’s Head of Operations. This role will be the company’s third full-time hire and has tremendous room for growth. 

Key responsibilities
  • Purchase order entry
  • Work closely with the Ecommerce and Retail Sales teams on ensuring the successful coordination and launch of new and refreshed products
  • Responsible for the order fulfillment and operations for ecommerce and retail channel using alice’s ERP and vendor portals
  • Streamline + develop operational processes to improve efficiency and capacity
  • Liaise with alice’s logistics partners to coordinate deliveries and order-fulfillment to customers throughout the US. 
  • Collectively work with various teams to create and implement alice’s SOPs
  • Troubleshooting inter-departmental issues between customer support, ops and accounting
  • Monitor retail and eCommerce inventory levels using alice’s ERP system
  • Define team deliverables that support and/or deliver against annual and quarterly OKRs/KPIs
  • Keep track of and maintain inventory + restocking of packaging materials at the 3PL
  • Reconcile stock between Cin7 and Quickbooks monthly 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 2+ years omnichannel experience in Retail & ECOM operations, preferred
  • Ecommerce support experience and usage of major DTC Commerce Platforms
  • Ability to build strong relationships with sales team and D2C channel leads 
  • Knowledge and understanding of vendor routing guides and use of vendor portals
  • Self-starter, flexible and adaptive to changing priorities and new technology; able to organize, multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Familiar with 3rd party WMS software
  • Team-oriented with ability to collaborate with partners across functions and levels
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy required, a thirst for learning and success
  • Ability to problem solve and apply independent judgment
  • Analytical thinking with ability to utilize appropriate data and information for making informed decisions
  • Exceptional and proactive communicator, both verbally and in writing to clearly translate complex information
  • Travel to 3rd party warehouses as needed
