Maximizes billing and claims management efficiency by developing billing and collections procedures and provider manuals to ensure successful execution of insurance plan requirements; managing productivity of the account team (for example, charge entry, payment entry, accounts receivable follow-up); ensuring the continuous improvement of clinics' electronic medical record and practice management system coding; developing practitioner training on electronic medical record and practice management system; ensuring accurate medical billing, such as Walmart's cash collections, adjustments, and insurance accounts receivable balances are accurate and meet collection benchmark expectations; reviewing medical procedure coding; and analyzing outcomes of medical procedure coding.
Ensures the successful implementation of revenue cycle processes by complying with policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards to mitigate regulatory and compliance risk; creating processes to mitigate risk; implementing practice management systems and business processes to support efficient revenue cycle operations; and managing vendor accuracy and compliance to drive efficiency and quality.
Develops innovative revenue cycle solutions (for example, subscription agreements, direct contracts, risk or value-based reimbursement arrangements) by developing billing operations processes and practice management system configuration; utilizing knowledge of coding and documentation standards and payer specific requirements for reimbursement; developing fee schedule analyses to ensure full payment for all services and provider productivity; developing Walmart Vision Centers revenue cycle metrics; utilizing industry knowledge and best practices to inform and drive profitability, performance, and collections; utilizing revenue cycle data and trends to lead the improvement of revenue cycle process performance; ensuring the development of processes and systems configurations to support revenue cycle operations; and reporting on revenue cycle results and performance to leadership.
Develops Walmart Vision Center revenue cycle strategy and operational processes (for example, patient intake, medical billing, claims coding, audit processes) by utilizing current state and future projections to understand business needs in the overall revenue cycle; evaluating Walmart Vision Center systems and processes to improve overall revenue cycle (for example, improving patient intake process to optimize Vision Center revenue cycle); influencing the direction of strategic opportunities in clinical service offerings requiring revenue cycle; implementing long-term plans and project timelines based on key performance metrics; managing budgets and finances for billing initiatives; leading team on project implementation; partnering with key stakeholders (for example, Operations, Compliance, Legal) in the execution and evaluation of appropriate revenue cycle practices; and communicating progress and risks to senior leadership. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events. #LI-MF4 Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years of field operations experience in vision or pharmacy.
