Out East - Wine Sales Representative

About Out East:

We develop premium wines, thoughtful brand activations, and captivating content, with a focus on high-profile, destination inspired markets. We are passionate about our wines, our brand and our mission and we are seeking talented candidates who share a similar entrepreneurial mindset. We are currently looking for experienced and influential wine sales talent to grow sales & distribution in New York and New Jersey.  More than a destination, Out East is a state of mind. While our name is inspired by the popular vernacular for the Hamptons, our motif is “you can be Out East anywhere”. The Company launched in 2018 with its first signature wine, Out East Rosé, a Côtes de Provence rosé and in September 2019 launched Champagne À L’EST, a brut champagne from Épernay. Responsibilities: 
  • Grow sales and distribution within region 
  • Work with the Out East team to strategize and grow the brand
  • Develop and oversee sales CRM 
  • Manage and grow territory in region with an emphasis on exceptional customer service in on and off premise accounts
  • Expand our market share and open new accounts.
  • Conduct wine tastings and staff trainings
  • Travel as required
 
Attributes:
  • 5+ years in alcoholic beverage industry
  • Excellent organization, presentation and communication skills
  • High energy and willingness to learn 
  • Ability to create genuine long-term relationships in the marketplace 
  • Above average knowledge of wine 
  • Ability to create wine programs and properly pair wine with food 
  • Thrive on creating and selling innovative ideas and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Above average negotiation skills
  • Able to work flexible hours which include early morning, evenings and/or weekends
  • Established trade/account relationships within the geographic region
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift 25lbs (case of wine)
