About The Position
The Sales and Marketing Director will be responsible to oversee the successful sale and distribution of products.

The Sales And Marketing Director will focus on managing Sales Representatives in different states, forming essential partnerships with industry influencers.  Acting as a liaison from USA to Germany as well as leveraging  existing relationships, and will be an overall expert in trade outreach.
 
The Krombacher Brewery is a full-service importer of  world-class beer. 
 
Objective
The Sales and  Marketing Director will be  responsible to oversee the successful sale and distribution of Krombacher products. This individual will act as the primary liaison between The Krombacher Brewery, Krombacher USA and its wholesalers in the assigned territory. The Sales And Marketing Director will focus on forming essential partnerships with industry influencers as well as leveraging their existing relationships, and will be the expert in trade and marketing outreach. This role will serve to increase sales, market share, brand awareness amongst trade. This position will be a spokesperson for the portfolio and play a crucial role in elevating the organization as an industry leader.
 
 
Job Description 
 
·   Understand the role of Krombacher's U.S. business within the global market portfolio   
·   Enhance and drive existing roadmap idea into a multi-year, executable market plan 
·   Leverage competencies and resources provided by Krombacher Central 
·   Permanently generate insights to sustainably improve Krombacher's market performance in the U.S. 
·   Develop annual cross-functional market plans and turn them into measurable actions. Lead and do implementations
·   Distributor Management: Build, leverage and develop strong relationships and integrated teams 
·   Sales On-Trade: Defend existing business and add new accounts / Develop and implement activities and measures to increase rotation / Closely cooperate with the central competence center On-Trade 
·   Sales Off-Trade: Defend existing business and add new accounts / Develop and implement activities and measures to increase rotation / Closely cooperate with the central competence center Off-Trade 
·   Field Force Management: Set individual targets and monitor executions and achievements / Support as mentor, trainer and coach / Open and close people gaps 
·   Brand and Trade Marketing: Co-develop and implement activities and measures aiming in increasing brand equity / Closely cooperate with the central competence center Marketing 
·   Experiential: Develop and implement brand-staging incentives and programs to bond with customers (B2B) / 
   Closely cooperate with the central competence center Marketing 
·   Social Media: Support SoMe communications alongside content factory and local postings / 
   Closely cooperate with the central competence center Marketing 
·   Training, Qualification and Coaching: Leverage and amplify existing and new programs to bring each internal and external team member to the next level 
·   Finance and Reporting: Own local processes and performance indicators / Align with and report regularly to Managing Director in Germany
 
 
Required set of hard and soft skills 
 
·  University degree in business administration (MBA)
·  8 yrs.+ experiences and proven success in comparable U.S. roles in FMCG, better beverages, ideally beer/international premium beers 
·  Experiences in working with family-owned and/or foreign companies (from Germany) is a plus 
·  Understanding of representing a premium consumer brand 
·  Entrepreneurial thinking and hands-on mentality
·  Analytical and structured ways of working
·  Target driven and solution-oriented
·  Persuasive/empathic power and strong negotiator with passion for sales
·  Credible and convincing in presentations 
·  Competent amplification of digital (MS) applications
 
 
Additional Information (to candidate)
 
·  Jobholder must live in Chicago and is ready to frequently travel
·  An attractive remuneration package is offered 
·  An introduction program will be effected in Germany 
·  Start date: January 1st, 2021 or earlier
