The Senior Sales Manager, Ecommerce will join at an exciting time of growth both for the business and team. The leader will oversee the development of the Dole Ecommerce sales strategy, and corresponding tactical execution, across all Pure Play and Online Grocery platforms. This digitally savvy individual will build a leading digital capability, with direct responsibility for Amazon and other pure plays, along with building the Ecommerce plans for key retailers including Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger, Instacart and more.

This position requires a clear understanding of the omni-shopper journey and extensive experience in retailer owned traffic and conversion tactics such as paid search and display advertising. This individual will define and achieve accelerated sales and profit targets in the channel, as well as develop a mid-term plan with key investments and milestones clearly mapped.

This individual serves as the thought leader and energizer for Ecommerce within the Dole HQ Go-to-Market plan, as well as the category thought leader for our key customer partners. This individual will be the expert on key retailer Ecommerce capabilities and will work collaboratively with local key account managers to drive the Click & Collect and Ship-to-Home businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize of Ecommerce P&Ls across retailers and 3-year plan
  • Directly manage customer relationships with Amazon and other pure players, including grocery delivery partners such as Instacart and Shipt
  • Own forecasting and actualization to determine supply needs and achieve growth
  • Coordinate omni-channel growth plans between the Dole Sales team and the digital arm of key retailers; embed Ecommerce in JBPs
  • Implement traffic and conversion strategies, then measure the efficacy of digital marketing investments into paid search, display media and top-of-funnel investments with retailer partners
  • Create category and shopper plan to unlock Ecommerce specific conversion strategies
  • Identify new tools, insights, products and resources needed to achieve mid-term plan
  • Establish Ecommerce toolkit & center of excellence to publish Ecommerce merchandising, assortment, pricing and digital shelf guidelines
  • Develop customer roadmap for continued rollout across platforms to scale growth
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:

  • Ability to accelerate digital transformation across the Dole sales and marketing organization by championing Ecommerce agenda to Dole senior management
  • Capacity and flexibility to both develop an inspiring 3-year agenda while simultaneously performing detailed analytics of in-market activity, ensuring investments and decisions are founded on data
  • Proven ability to enhance digital shelf through SEO tactics and content optimization
  • Understanding of how to trigger impulse purchase online, increase traffic to product detail pages and implement winning on-site conversion strategies

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.


Travel Requirements:

  • 25% travel estimated


Other Requirements:

  • Preferred location is for role to be based in the Westlake Village, CA headquarters office
  • Will consider remote home-based candidates
