About The Position
Position Overview:
Join Diplomatico Rum at an incredibly exciting time to help develop the brand in one of it’s most important markets, California. The Ambassador will support the Diplomatico brand team and the E&J Gallo salesforce in implementing the overall brand strategy with a keen focus on maximizing brand education, velocity and visibility. The role involves working on the front line of the business to enforce brand standards and drive sales at the ground level, calling on both national and regional accounts, as well as developing and delivering customer activities in line with overall brand marketing strategy.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Educate brand stakeholders and customers in designated territory (importer, distributor, accounts) 
  • Secure new points of distribution and cocktail placements to drive sales
  • Work closely with distributors to implement brand plans in territory
  • Conduct regular distributor work-withs and present at general sales meetings
  • Conceptualize local marketing programs and implement agreed national promotional plans with key customers
  • Organize and conduct seminars and masterclasses to increase brand awareness with consumers/trade
  • Attend consumer events, festivals and product tastings to introduce the public to the brand and raise consumer awareness and engagement.
  • Ensure correct pricing structures in both on and off-trade, in line with required margins and programs
  • Provide content on brand social media channels to amplify market specific activations 
  • Regularly review market data to identify new business opportunities within territory
  • Responsible for punctual reporting on all activity to brand team
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5-6 years of beverage industry experience (preferably in spirits)
  • Los Angeles based preferred, San Francisco based optional
  • Articulate, engaging and sociable
  • Comfortable presenting in front of large groups
  • Exceptional selling skills with strong industry relationships
  • Organized, with the ability to prioritize and balance several projects
  • Experience working with and/or managing distributors
  • Experience with events management: conception, implementation, problem-solving
  • Mixology experience (preferable)
  • Self-motivated, creative and responsible
  • Excellent communicator: listening, writing and communications skills 
  • Team player
  • Social media savvy
  • Driver’s license and valid insurance
