Position Description

POSITION TITLE: In Store-Shopper - Part-Time and Full-Time Leads

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Online Manager

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

To provide customer satisfaction by fulfilling online orders efficiently and accurately while selecting the best quality products for our customers.

NATURE AND SCOPE

Emphasis in this position is creating customer satisfaction by selecting orders accurately by selecting the freshest and best quality products. When necessary making decisions on substitutions and communicating with customers who are not present in store with the goal of maximizing sales and customer satisfaction. Primary learning challenge is product location and developing necessary efficiency in order selecting to achieve the related metrics. This position requires ongoing walking, moderate to heavy lifting, operation of mobile device/order selecting technology, social skills/verbal interaction and reading. Position functions and hours may vary according to business needs. Assignments and work direction provided by Online Manager or person in charge.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

1. Performs order fulfilment

• Completes assignments in allotted time

• Ensure quality selection of product

• Execute on delivery times and order accuracy

• Effective communication and coordination with other departments and store staff

• Provide comparable products for substitution

• Prepare orders by ringing up, accepting payment and bagging orders in an efficient and effective manner

• Stage orders to prepare for customer pickup or delivery

• Checking expiration dates throughout the store during slow periods

Functional Requirements

Frequent: • Physical - Walking, bending, kneeling, able to reach, lift, stack and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weighing up to 50 lbs., equipment operation (intercom, telephone, scanner, register, scale, shopping cart and other technology); Mental - judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, & math

Occasional: Physical - Lifting/carrying 60 to 75 lbs., equipment operation (forklift, pallet jack), climbing, work above floor level; Mental - writing, math.

2. Performs runner function

• Responsible for bringing orders to customer's vehicle in parking lot

• Acknowledges customer's arrival in a timely manner via appropriate technology

• Finds customer's order in a timely manner and ensures that all of customer's order is located

• Safely brings order to customer's vehicle

• Places order in car and uses greet, offer and thank to provide best in class customer service.

Frequent: • Physical - Walking, bending, kneeling, able to reach, lift, stack and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weighing up to 50 lbs., working outside, equipment operation (intercom, telephone, scanner, register, scale, shopping cart and other technology); Mental - judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, & math

Occasional: Physical - Lifting/carrying 60 to 75 lbs., equipment operation (forklift, pallet jack), climbing, work above floor level; Mental - writing, math.

3. Performs clean up of staging area

• Picks up and organizes area used for processing and staging of orders including coolers, freezers and shelving along with register and floor.

4. Maintaining a positive presence on the sales floor

• Greet, Offer, & Thank all customers

• Assist customers by bringing them to the location of product

• Ensure the aisles are always clear of debris

5. Follows all store and department policies and procedures including department safety and sanitation programs for selection, transportation and delivery. Observes standards and procedures regarding store security and confidentiality.

6. Perform duties to achieve all benchmark metrics associated with customer satisfaction including on time orders, accurate fulfilment, quality and freshness, and efficiency.

7. Answers department phone calls and responds or refers as appropriate.

8. Assists with other tasks in store as defined by Store Director or manager on duty.

• Ability to Greet, Offer, & Thank all customers in store, at vehicle and virtually

• Ability to receive feedback and implement processes for improvement

• Ability to follow directions from the Supervisor

Time management skills

• Ability to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision in a timely manner

• Ability to prioritize tasks based on customer and business needs

*Must be able to work a variety of shifts; including nights, weekends, & holidays.

Note: Within each essential functional requirement, "Frequent" represents approximately 15% of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift. "Occasional" represents approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift.
