The Affiliate Marketing Analyst II is a collaborative team player who employs innovative thinking to develop and continuously improve programs, exhibits strong leadership and communication skills, and excels at driving efficiency. This role's responsibilities include the management of our Affiliate network; improving the volume and quality of traffic to Ulta Beauty across all devices and driving revenue online and in our stores. This role requires both strategic and tactical level work to continuously improve the experience of our guests.

The Affiliate Marketing Analyst II is responsible for planning, development, execution and evaluation of Ulta Beauty's Affiliate program. Reporting to the Manager, Digital Marketing, this role will work with internal teams across marketing, site merchandising, and IT as well as external partners to achieve business objectives. This position requires an enterprise thinker who exhibits leadership and persuasion skills.

  • Strategize, develop, execute & manage Ulta Beauty's Affiliate Marketing strategy
  • Manage the media budget of the Affiliate channel, including forecasting future opportunities and performance
  • Partner with our agency to execute ongoing account optimization, which includes developing new business opportunities, creating strategic proposals, and working with cross-functional teams to meet company goals and objectives
  • Lead our affiliate testing roadmap with our agency to find areas of improvement and new affiliate partners that align with Ulta Beauty's strategic imperatives
  • Partner with our Influencer Marketing team to find ways we can leverage our content affiliates to achieve the goals we have set for influencers
  • Represent Digital Marketing and serve as the expert on Affiliate Marketing within the company to drive innovation and share relevant trends that can be leveraged by other areas of the business, including Merchandising, Brand Marketing, and DMPP team.
  • Work closely with external partners to maintain support and keep up to date on new features and product capabilities
  • Oversee marketing invoices and insertion orders
  • Participate in MSA, SOW contracts, addendums and vendor reviews
  • Collaborate with the Merchandising Team to understand the promotional strategy that can leveraged for new Affiliate offers
  • Stay current on industry news, trends, tactics and strategies and educates the broader organization on new opportunities that can be leveraged to provide our guests the best experience
  • Helps develop channel strategy and execution for all major marketing events as well as core business programs

  • Minimum 4 - 5 years of experience managing Affiliate Marketing
  • BA/BS in Marketing or Business Administration preferred
  • Proven track record in managing Affiliate networks within the retail industry
  • Experience with Impact Radius, Commission Junction or other similar Affiliate networks
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Understand how/when to incorporate qualitative data into decision-making
  • Proven ability to work closely with technical (software development) teams
  • Vendor management skills
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Solid data analysis skills and ability to identify actionable insights from large datasets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay focused and organized
  • Ability to work in a team environment, build partnerships and work cross functionally
  • Ability to multi-task, manage work and execute tasks in a timely manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Products including Excel
