Job Summary: The Procurement and Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and materials, as well as managing the organization's inventory levels. This role involves strategically sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and implementing inventory control systems to ensure the timely availability of necessary resources. The Procurement and Inventory Manager plays a critical role in optimizing the supply chain and maintaining operational efficiency.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the organization's operational and financial objectives
  • Negotiate favorable contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
  • Analyze spend data, inventory levels, and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as operations, finance, and logistics to coordinate procurement and inventory activities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant laws/regulations governing procurement and inventory management
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems, including forecasting, replenishment, and storage strategies
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete stock, and develop plans to optimize inventory turnover
  • Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance the efficiency and visibility of the procurement and inventory functions
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on procurement activities, inventory metrics, and KPIs
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a procurement or inventory management role
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in data analysis, strategic planning, and project management
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, inventory control techniques, and supplier management
  • Familiarity with procurement and inventory management software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools
