Market Activation Manager - Chicago, IL

The Market Activation Manager will be responsible for driving distribution, activations and volume growth of the Disaronno International spirits portfolio throughout the assigned networks to support off premise (50%) and on-premise (50%) local account channels as well as key independent accounts. This position will develop relationships with key retail decision makers, implement programs, and execute account activations with distributors and internal sales teams.
The focus of this role will be increasing our visibility and distribution footprint with our key on/off premise accounts and growing our existing business through innovative programming along with activations. This role will report into the local Area Manager.

Additional responsibilities for the Market Activation Manager include:
  • Deliver assigned volume and share growth exceeding the annual plan by helping accounts grow their spirits categories with the Disaronno International portfolio
  • Develop Retail, On-premise and Customer specific selling solutions that increase basket ring and frequency while delivering targeted ROI
  • Develop relationships with assigned retailers& on-premise accounts that drive results against all assigned KPI’s, including execution, distribution and programming through all levels of stakeholders
  • Execute channel specific strategies, standards and tools to be used throughout the organization that ladder back to Disaronno International national brand strategies
  • Execute account wiring both vertically and horizontally to deepen relationships and maximize results. Cultivate relationship with weighted key accounts by adding value through innovative business planning
  • Ability to utilize internal and external data to identify opportunities across Total Adult Beverage that support our stated long-term objectives and use solution-based selling techniques to secure distribution and promotional activity across total portfolio
  • Develop and implement multi-phased channel specific tactics that are incorporated in all account programming
  • Utilize and implement national and state level pricing standards and deviations when building account presentations
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of key account/national account sales experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in wine/spirits industry
  • Experience with the three tier distribution system
  • Ability to manage complexity and multiple projects at one time
  • A valid driver's license & the ability to pass a background check
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
  • Must be based in Chicago, IL but with willingness to travel
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in fact based selling techniques
