General Description:
The Area Market Manager at Sake ONO will enhance our brand visibility and drive sales growth. This position requires a dynamic individual who can develop and execute strategic initiatives while collaborating effectively with sales, brand, and field marketing teams. The Area Market Manager will focus on creating innovative programs that align with our overall brand strategies, aiming to strengthen our market presence and elevate Sake ONO as a leader in retail and on-premise channels. When these positions are rolled out, this position will report to the Senior Market Manager and oversee the Key Account Specialist role.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Management:
  • Oversee and manage all sales activities within the assigned territory to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Sake ONO’s market presence.
Brand Visibility:
  • Manage initiatives to enhance brand visibility and awareness in retail and on-premise channels.
  • Collaborate with the marketing/branding team to create and implement promotional activities and campaigns tailored to the local market.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and representation across all channels and customer touchpoints.
Sales Growth:
  • Build strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and other stakeholders to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Assist with negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with distributors and accounts to ensure profitability and market share growth.
Strategic Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the sales, brand, and field marketing teams to align strategies and achieve business objectives.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide insights and recommendations to enhance market performance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts and ensure high customer satisfaction and retention levels.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, market conditions, and competitor activities, regularly updating the Senior Market Manager.
  • Utilize data and analytics to track progress against targets and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
  • Manage the area market budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
Market Expansion:
  • Identify potential customers, develop strategies to win new business, and expand Sake ONO’s market reach.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to promote Sake ONO’s products and strengthen industry connections.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and new market opportunities to drive innovation and growth.
Team Oversight and Development:
  • Oversee the Key Account Specialist role.
  • Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales management, preferably in the alcohol/beverage industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
