Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Insights & Strategy is a leader responsible for driving insights strategy and activation for a variety of brands and initiatives at Pernod Ricard USA. This person will proactively identify knowledge gaps, uncover insights, and drive learnings to action with senior marketing partners. The Senior Manger will be a champion of deep consumer and demand moment understanding, with broad application to drive communication, innovation, and renovation strategy.

Major Responsibilities:Lead insights strategy and activation for a variety of brands and initiatives - ultimately delivering actionable insights to drive communication, innovation, and renovation: 20%
Establish annual and long-term learning agendas to advance marketing objectives, driving alignment with local & global partners: 20%
Activate demand segmentation insights and instill empathy on demand moments with business partners: 25%
Integrate data, trends, and primary research to illuminate consumer opportunities, with a focus on strong storytelling to drive action: 25%
Be a thought leader in the insights community, including maintaining strong relationships with global Center of Excellence and Brand Company insights partners: 10%
Scope of Role: The Senior Manager, Insights & Strategy reports to an Insights Director, supporting a variety of brands and initiatives that will be further specified upon placement. This person will be a key thought partner for the team Director, and will help drive the insights partnership model across the organization. While final team structure will be determined later, there is potential for direct reports.
The Insights team is part of a new Portfolio Growth team alongside Business Intelligence and Media, reporting up to a Chief Transformation Officer.
The Senior Manager will work closely with marketing partners, with insights influence up to VP & CMO levels. The Senior Manager will also work closely with insights partners in global Center of Excellence and Brand Company teams to craft learning plans.
Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
Experience / Background: 7+ years of insights & strategy experience, with a broad research toolkit and activation success stories
5+ years leading primary quantitative & qualitative research, with demand segmentation experience preferred
Significant experience blending quantitative & qualitative learning for a clear story and action plan
Significant experience building holistic learning plans that integrate data, trends, and primary research
Significant experience analyzing syndicated shopper data (e.g. Nielsen, IRI, Numerator)
Ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders at VP+ level
Experience in spirits, alcohol, beverages, or other image-based categories preferred
Experience driving insights on global brands and working in a global insights community preferred
Travel: Estimate:10% of time.
