Part of the global team and located in the US, the Marketing Manager Activation North America plays a pivotal role between the BrandCo 'Martell Mumm Perrier-Jouët' (MMPJ) & the Pernod Ricard North America region.
The Marketing Manager Activation purpose is to : Operate as a key business partner and MMPJ primary point of contact for the PR affiliates of the North America clusterEngage behind Martell, Mumm and Perrier-Jouët brand & commercial strategic roadmap to drive long-term sustainable value growthEnhance market centricity within the MMPJ organization, fueling MMPJ global business strategy with strong local consumer and business insightsDeploy initiatives at scale & Inspire local teams to activate with excellence. Ensure consistency and robustness of local developments/plansPilot and monitor the performance across the portfolio Act as an agent of Transformation: optimize the go-to-market model of MMPJ (simplify and prioritize), enhance the broadcasting of global assets, support levers of acceleration, and remove barriers to brand/business development
Key Responsibilities :
Business strategy & planning: Fuel global strategy providing bottom up directions from the geographies part of his/her scope to the Head of Market Activation (N+1) and to the wider Business Transformation & Acceleration department of MMPJ
Nurture the go-to-market strategy: enhance brand/market choices, recommending key battlegrounds, priority touchpoints, brand initiatives and optimal thresholds of A&P investmentsHelp identifying future growth opportunities and existing business knowledge gaps. Recommend and/or run ad hoc business casing with the support of the Business Planning.Deploy the commercial and go-to-market strategic guidelines at local level, facilitate understanding and implementation across local affiliates/departments In collaboration with the N+1, coordinate and prepare key business interactions such as Budget, 3YP (e.g. drive agenda, prepare briefing packs...)Contribute to portfolio and commercial discussions (e.g. support RGM, RTM, decisions)In alignment with PR USA, contribute actively to key accelerator projects as local MMPJ Business / Portfolio expert (e.g. Prestige Gifting, Luxury Low & High Energy...)
Market Management & Broadcast Act as "Traffic manager" of communication between MMPJ and PR USA. Be the primary "go to" Brand Co representative for any MMPJ business / brand related matter.Ensure marketing and commercial plans relevance & fit to business objectives, local needs as well as global brand strategy.Inspire and engage behind global brand initiatives: drive IBP amplification and optimize broadcasting of global assets among the cluster.Orchestrate the animation of the brand marketing community in the US and in Canada: facilitate efficient communication between asset creators & asset users.In collaboration with the local marketing team and the MMPJ Creative Content Managers based in the US, support the local plan delivery to ensure excellence in execution:
Nurture briefs to the Creative Content Managers thanks to global and local business insights.Identify and report potential asset synergies with other regions of the world.Identify (secondary) asset needs & potential pending gaps to deliver the plan according to business prioritiesEnsuring style consistency and compliance with guidelines across the portfolioFertilize best practices sharing: inspire the rest of the world with US initiatives, and import relevant MMPJ best practices from other regions.Monitor carefully allocations and business performances for the given cluster countries.
