Position Title: Senior Analyst, M&A and Business Development

Location: New York, NY (Headquarters)

The Corporate Strategy, M&A and Business Development team actively supports this ambition, by (1) leading major strategic efforts in all fields (Marketing, Route-to-Market, Finance...), (2) driving a proactive M&A strategy to further enhance growth trajectory, and (3) actively building relationships and partnerships with the brands of tomorrow and companies that have the power to shape Pernod Ricard's business for the better.

The position provides a unique opportunity to join this team and support the Manager, Corporate Strategy, M&A with a specific focus on M&A and Corporate Strategy responsibilities.

A successful candidate will bring to the team a strong strategic vision, analytical thinking, leadership, excellent communication and management skills, interdisciplinary management skills, integrity, and of course, their own personal style.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Business Development (25%) related activities including:

- General business development activities, including assisting in forming relationships with potential commercial partners for Pernod Ricard

- Assisting the VP and Director in building out the next stage of 100 Proof

- Providing ad hoc strategic analysis to support decision making process of executive team

M&A related activities (25%) which includes:

- Active screening of the US market for potential M&A targets

- Assisting the team with the execution of an increasingly robust US M&A strategy, including larger deals, bolt-on acquisitions, disposals and general portfolio management

- Supporting deals in cooperation with Pernod Ricard's Headquarter M&A team, including, target detailed assessment, business planning, M&A valuation, coordination of key stakeholders (legal, tax, marketing...)

- Supporting the valuation model construction and key diligence initiatives where appropriate

- Supporting integration process of acquired brands

- Monitoring progress of acquired brands, as required

Corporate Strategy (25%) related activities , including:

- Supporting the execution of strategic projects: project scoping and work planning, strategic analysis, formalization of recommendations, coordination of stakeholders

- Providing ad hoc strategic analysis to support decision making process of executive team

General Team Analytics (25%) related activities , including:

- Day-to-day activities can include assistance on: conducting brand assessments of potential targets, performance and performance analysis, key performance indicator (KPI) tracking of brands post acquisition, pricing structure review, and gap analysis.

Nature & Scope:

The position requires the ability to create and maintain highly sensitive information. Scope of position also requires interaction with middle and senior management within Pernod Ricard USA, as well as key executives from Pernod Ricard Group and external stakeholders (advisers, business owners, other corporate teams).

Requirements:

- Education: Degree in Finance / Management / Accounting

- Experience / Background: Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting or Corporate Finance at a large Consumer Goods company with roles in strategy and mergers & acquisitions.

- Eager to learn the key strategic levers in the spirits and wines & champagnes industry and the Pernod Ricard culture. (Cultural fit and adhesion to the PR values are a key requirement).

- Strong written communication skills (memos and written presentations)

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Positive mindset, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to adapt
