What You'll Be Doing
You will be part of the Human Resources team reporting to the VP, Total Talent, Diversity & Enterprise Development for North America with one direct report, the Manager, Sales Capabilities. The performance & learning team drives the implementation learning strategy through tactics, initiatives and programs designed to deliver a great employee experience and, in turn, create strong business results. Our functional/team effectiveness programs are focused on the needs of our salesforce and our support teams, as well as the wholesaler stakeholders that are key partners in our success.
As the Director, Organizational Capabilities you will provide leadership for these learning and coaching programs and tools designed to improve productivity through increased capability and confidence. You will work with partners across Pernod Ricard NA to deliver against business-driven initiatives and act as a business lead on enterprise-wide initiatives. You will collaborate and be in partnership with the Human Resources Business Partner team to help strategize, implement and measure the success of training programs and learning strategies.
How You'll Succeed
Organizational Capability Programs Design & manage the delivery of programs and initiatives that will build functional capability in all levels of roles across the sales organization in order to execute the Pernod Ricard NA strategy. Lead coaching, professional development, mentorship and other national employee programs designed to improve effectiveness of all distribution channels. Work in partnership with Talent Development to build and maintain learning and talent programs. Work in partnership with the HRBP team to gain business insights, build content, develop an execution roadmap, and receive real-time feedback from the business Provide business leadership for sales and advice tools, ensuring that tools are effectively implemented and maintained to deliver quality advice to the business. Maintain an effective onboarding experience and support continuous improvement initiatives related to onboarding, working across departments to ensure an optimum experience for new hires
Program Management Analyze and interpret program results, provide recommendations regarding improved or enhanced programs and/or tools to senior leaders that influences and directs decisions. Identify and select the appropriate external capability-building partner that will work with us in a balanced way supporting us to develop, build and deploy our own learning assets and support us with specialist subjects (eg. Negotiation Skills Training). Lead and communicate to sales leaders and sales teams. Develop, build, implement, maintain and evaluate performance metrics to increase sales productivity and effectiveness. Enable sales team to train external end-users through content creation, training, messaging, and best practices. Act as business lead or business sponsor representative for programs and take responsibility for ensuring they are completed successfully, on time, on budget and achieve desired results.
Coaching & Facilitation Supports frontline sales managers and sales leadership team in executing effective management disciplines and establishing a sales coaching program.Partners with global leadership, learning & talent development functions to co-develop and execute effective leadership and management practices and establish a sales coaching culture and program. Develop an engaging learner experience by leveraging digital learning technologies and introducing new and innovative ways to learn. Identify talent to build a sales training community of regional leads / champions that can facilitate learning in regions.
Culture & Collaboration Drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement by ensuring that content and learning moments are easy to access, consume and apply Connect our commercial teams globally for greater results. Build a culture that supports a one-team approach where sharing and reapplication of ideas is an embedded approach. Develop ways of working that facilitates improved communication and connectivity between our regions and commercial functions. Connect our commercial organization beyond the traditional Sales / Marketing / Innovation silos to ensure an aligned way of working and understanding. Develop and implement the appropriate tools, use of technology and platforms that facilitate sharing and accessibility to information

Requirements:Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in a sales function5+ years of experience in functional capabilities trainingKnowledge & experience in alcohol beverage industry an assetStrategic thinking and strong analytical skillsTraining or project management certification in learning, project management, coaching or instructional design a plus.Superior communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignmentStrong project management, organizational and follow-up skills when presented with multiple priorities in a fast-paced and global environmentExperience working in a changing environment with ambiguous conditions, dealing with both internal and external customers, including cross-functional teamsProven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindsetWilling to travel 15-20% of the time
