Role Description

Job Title: National Accounts Manager Off and On-Premise

Joining the Middle West Spirits sales team means you will be responsible for helping grow our company sales of Middle West Branded Bourbons and Whiskey’s, OYO Vodka’s, and Vim & Petal Gins.  As a key member of our branded sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining existing relationships, working both independently and with our national distribution network to secure new national chain partnerships and results.

What You Are Responsible For:

·       Plans, manages and executes direct sales calls with all major national/regional off and on-premise chains. (Including Duty-Free, Cruise Lines and Club)

·       Maintains and utilizes a current contact list for National/Regional Accounts Leadership and distributor chain teams.

·       Deliver relevant training to to Off and On-premise decision-makers via both presentations to build distributor knowledge of, and belief-in, Middle West Spirits and its World Class Portfolio.

·       Work directly with the VP of Sales on impactful and effective results in most major off-on premise national/regional chains to establish programming, pricing, new item distribution and RFPs.  

·       Recommend tactical activities that work well in their individual territory, identifies incremental business building opportunities and works with VP of Branded Sales to secure the resources necessary to deliver the activities.

·       Ensure account target lists are developed, updated and executed on.

 

                                             

·       Collaborates with all relevant departments to coordinate and execute programming. (Marketing, Operational and Finance)

·       Monitors all in-market spend, ensures investments are effective and efficient, helping to achieve chain profit, revenue and distribution objectives.

·       Leverage all current and feature marketing/programming initiatives to target effective brand building chain specific programming.

·       Utilizes and analyzes all available resources, data, and trends in order to track and improve results, course correct and leverage future opportunities.

·       Create and Collaborate on all chain brand building calendars/activities in addition to new product development and private label opportunities. 

  • Effectively prioritizes, proactively communicates, and maintains a high level of professionalism in all aspects of their work and provides both monthly and quarterly updates to the executive team.
  • Manages and executes portfolio priorities and new item initiatives.
  • Must be willing and able to take on additional responsibilities and projects 
 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
·       5-10 Years’ experience within the Beverage Alcohol industry with concentration in National Accounts (Major National and Regional Chains)

·       Strong understanding of on-premise and off-premise retailer environment and three-tier system (Must Have previous national account experience)

·       Demonstrated ability to develop/maintain effective working relationships and influence with Distributors/Brokers and National Accounts.

·       Must have current and existing relationships with most major National/Regional Off and On-Premise Chain Accounts. (NO OTHER CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED) 

·       Capable of digesting and delivering brand knowledge in a persuasive manner to National Accounts

·       Able to manage multiple priorities.

·       Numerical and analytical acumen in order to identify patterns, issues & opportunities 

·       Strong communication skills: verbal, written communication and presentation skills

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel, Power Point, mastery of internal reporting account market/account level system

·       40% Travel and being able to work flexible hours in order to accommodate customer schedule

·       Attends schedules chain promotions and activities when needed

·       Strong negotiation, problem solving and presentation skills.

·       Must be fluent in VIP/Karma/IRI/IMI/RangeMe

  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Requires a current state driver's license, with an ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements 
  • Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License, as required by the states
  • Other Requirements
  • Ability to regularly operate a motor vehicle.
  • Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 45 pounds (the equivalent of a case of liquor)
  • Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
