Sales Planning Analyst

As a Sales Planning Analyst at HOP WTR, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategies and optimizing our performance. You will provide critical analysis and insights that support our sales objectives, collaborating closely with the sales, operations, and marketing teams to drive revenue growth through effective planning and execution.  This role will report to the CFO and have a dotted-line reporting relationship with Sales Team Leadership.


Key Responsibilities


·        Develop, maintain, and expand analytical capabilities of the sales forecast to assist HOP WTR in optimizing distribution and sales strategy

·        Run monthly sales and operations planning meetings to obtain updates to forecasts from sales team members and analyze plans against distributor and retail reporting

·        Prepare regular daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, in Excel, Google Sheets, or PowerBI for the sales team and company management

·        Develop key reporting that tracks sales performance and forecast versus company KPIs

·        Syndicated data reporting from SPINS/IRI and specific retailer data streams

·        Depletions data reporting from Vermont Information Processing (VIP), KeHE, and UNFI

·        Develop and maintain the Key Account and Distributor Dashboards

·        Assist in the creation of sales presentations, business reviews, and other sales-related materials for key accounts

·        Execute the monthly sales broker commissions & DSD business process fees

·        Report on periodic sales incentive programs for Sales & Marketing

·        Capture, monitor, and report on the effectiveness of sales promotions and other sales efforts, using Excel, Google Sheets, and Vividly sales promotion planning system

·        Assist in the annual sales planning and budgeting process, providing analytical support to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications


·        Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

·        2+ years of experience in sales analysis, business analysis, or a similar role, preferably within the beverage or broader food and beverage industry.

·        Basic knowledge of CPG companies and industry

·        Understanding of trade promotion management and customer and business impacts

·        Basic knowledge of product forecasting (SKU level, by customer, by month)

·        Experience with syndicated data reporting from Nielsen, IRI, or SPINS and broadline distribution reporting from KeHE and UNFI

·        Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI.

·        Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

·        Ability to apply financial data to make decisions and influence outcomes. This includes margins, retail math, forecast/projections, velocities, and other analytical skills not mentioned
