About The Position
Direct Report: Greenhouse Brand Ambassador Manager

Job Summary:
The Tequila Brand Ambassador serves as a dedicated brand resource focused on growing the Herradura and el Jimador brands in the specified market area. Through the direction of the Greenhouse Brand Ambassador Manager and in partnership with the Tequila brand teams, the Brand Ambassador’s mission is to increase visibility and brand awareness among consumers and trade and to create trial and adoption opportunities. The Tequila Brand Ambassador will be looked upon as a trade and industry liaison and a key contact for national organizations such as the United States Bartender’s Guild (USBG). This individual will lead the brand’s efforts in
attracting the interest and adoption of the high-end craft cocktail enthusiast sector.

Primary Responsibilities/Activities:
Brand and Category Championship
• Serve as the brand/category/mixology expert
• Work to establish and leverage Herradura and el Jimador as the expert in the
category (70% Herradura, 30% el Jimador)
• Have expert knowledge on competitor brands
• Develop and maintain lasting relationships with bartenders, trade and key
• Support national initiatives in local market & nationally; serve as a host on
scheduled visits to brand's home place when applicable
• Conduct competitive analysis and master class level training
• Utilize category knowledge to represent Herradura and el Jimador in local industry
panel discussions
• Provide specific brand expertise in retail interactions to leverage a brand
opportunity, when requested by distributors
• Act as spokesperson for public relations and media activity
• Expand educational efforts to include distributor leadership & dedicated sales
• Collaborate with each Brand's PR lead to activate local media opportunities (in
addition to larger national opportunities that already exist)
• Work with Brand & IMC team to promote to expand target of targeted social media
to brand's ideal consumer profile
• Activate events in local market target accounts that include high-touch consumer
groups for the target brand (e.g., collectors, micro-influencers)
• Advise Field Marketing Manager on local trends in the on-trade, therefore informing
the localization of National Brand Platforms
• Ensure a majority of trade-facing activations align with National Brand Platforms,
therefore extending localization to trade

Brand, Cocktail and Category Education and Training

  • Educate the consumer, trade and agency through direct interaction including
  •  Provide brand expertise/training at the distributor and key account level
  •  Provide brand education to amplify consumer and trade dinners and other educational opportunities
Sales Integration
  • Liaise with the local on-premise manager to help build the brand in top mixology accounts. 
Activities include:
  •  Increase family of brands footprint through obtaining new points of distribution
  •  Strengthen category leadership by obtaining menu placements in influential accounts
  • Manage key account list
Marketing and Media Integration
  • Liaise with the tequila brand team to help amplify brand programming
  • Support national level bartender competition and programming
  • Serve as spokesperson for brand in media appearances that include cocktails/mixology
  • Storytelling exercises
  • Assist in brand tool box development and ideation exercises
  • Primary host of cocktail demonstrations, across digital platforms
  • Provide innovative recipe development with key trends and forecasting
Financial Responsibility & Administrative Requirements

• Effectively forecast and allocate program resources against brand commitments
• Timely submission of required program documents and deliverables

Minimum Requirements:

• Four years of high-end mixology experience within the tequila category
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
• Entrepreneurial minded
• Creative thinker with an ability to innovate around the brand
• Excellent public speaking, presentation and communication skills
• Familiar with developing PowerPoint presentations
• Able to collaborate and develop and maintain effective working relationships with
   all members of extended sales and brand teams
• Has sound financial skills and experience managing a budget
• Willingness to work unconventional hours (late nights and weekends)
• Shows strong networking skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
  within accounts, communities and organizations
• Ability to travel out of state

Ambassador is expected to participate in brand planning meetings from inception
and ideation through execution to ensure that the experiential piece will work in the

• Base Salary: $75-85k
• Bonus Opportunity: $10,000
• Auto Allowance: $10,000
• Communication Allowance: $2,400
