About The Position
Cloud Water Brands is growing rapidly and seeking a strongly motivated Area Sales Manager to join our regional sales team, focusing on the NY Metro area.
TITLE:                                     Area Sales Manager
LOCATION:                          NY Metro (NYC & Westchester County)
 
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Cloud Water Brands is seeking a strongly motivated Area Sales Manager to join our regional sales team, focusing on the NY Metro retail market.  The Area Sales Manager will oversee and support all aspects of the sales cycle, including management of existing retail sales accounts as well as the development and signing of new accounts. A proactive approach to all aspects of customer and distributor management is a must!
 
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Act as expert for the NY Metro market at Cloud Water and be a key contributor to the area sales team, focusing on retail opportunities.
  • Maintain important existing accounts by developing relationships with key stakeholders. Your goals are to sell in additional SKUs, additional facings, new placements, and to create other opportunities to grow volume. 
  • Monitor status by consistently using all available sales tools
  • Maintain key existing accounts and develop relationships effectively 
  • Participate in weekly sales calls to highlight successes, discuss challenges and understand company-wide strategies 
  • Identify and acquire new accounts to sell Cloud Water
 
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and qualify leads
  • Conduct store visits and customer account maintenance
  • Prepare and present sales proposals
  • Own communication with sales management leaders at our distributor partners
  • Weekly route rides with distributor sales reps and managers
  • Weekly recaps of all sales activity to manager and distributor partners
  • Assist with promotional display activation and ensure proper pricing, shelf tags, etc.
  • MUST HAVE A VEHICLE AND VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
 
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
  • Manager: Report directly to the Regional Manager covering the NY Metro Region
  • Sales Team: Collaborate with other Area Sales Managers and Merchandisers
  • Distributor Partners: Work with Sales Managers and Sales Reps on a daily basis 
  • Field Marketing: Coordinate and assist with the Field Marketing team to set up samples/ demos at high priority/ high potential accounts (in long term) 
  • Sales Marketing: Coordinate and assist with the Sales and Marketing teams to obtain relevant POS and promotional material 
 
WHO ARE YOU?
You are an outgoing, self-motivated and highly organized sales professional. You have a track record of meeting and exceeding goals and delivering results against challenging sales objectives. You close deals and create long-lasting partnerships with your customers in the process.
  
Ideally you have experience within the beverage industry, but if you think your experience within other relevant areas applies, we are listening. Experience working with distributors is a must.
  • At least 3-4 years of CPG sales experience (beverage preferred) 
  • Collaborative, open, positive, flexible.
  • Thrives in a “do-what-it-takes” start-up environment. A results-focused mindset with the ability to “never give up” and find solutions to challenges.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with quotas and goals
  • Self-starter but able to take direction, ability to work both independently and as a team player 
  • Attention to detail, organization and time management skills 
  • Prior experience with both retail and specialty accounts desired
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) 
  • Passionate about a healthy lifestyle 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; combination of education/experience will be considered
