Bueno Foods, one of the Southwest's premier producers of New Mexican and Mexican style foods, serving restaurant and retail customers throughout the United States, is looking for a highly motivated Sales Manager in Retail who has a passion for New Mexico's culinary heritage.

You will be responsible for the following territories, and can work remotely:  AZ, CO, NM, TX.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plans, directs and executes sales and marketing goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for attaining sales goals within the expense budget.
  • Recommends and implements distribution methods.
  • Plans, controls and directs activities of food brokers and distributors to obtain maximum sales volume as requested.
  • Supervises the sales development of new and existing products through appropriate distribution methods.
  • Conducts market and competitive research as needed and prepares introductory plan.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers and distributors.
  • Trains sales staff including distributor and broker employees.
  • Enforces and negotiates contracts.
  • Analyzes sales activity by area, takes required actions.
  • Coordinates pricing issues with marketing staff.
  • Attends and participates in trade shows.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum three years sales, customer service or management experience or alternatively three years experience in the Retail industry as a buyer or similar management position.
  • Ability to interact professionally with buyers, customers and other industry professionals.
  • Ability to analyze problems and come up with profitable solutions.
  • Ability to sell premium priced quality product over competitor’s product.
  • Ability to develop and execute a sales plan.
  • Proven ability to maintain a customer base despite increased competition and competitive prices.
  • Ability to build sales through broker and distributor operations.
  • Ability to analyze areas for sales potential.
  • Ability to review and prepare detailed reports.
  • Valid/current driver’s license and good driving record with no DWI’s.
  • Ability to organize and manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to motivate staff within broker and distributor networks and Bueno staff to obtain superior performance from them.
EDUCATION:
  • 4-year undergraduate degree is preferred.
  • Basic training in fundamentals of selling preferred.
