Open Role #2: Regional Sales Manager - Midwest/South
 Preferred Location: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, or North Carolina
Location: Remote in the West, Midwest, or Southeastern U.S. near major airport
Experience: CPG Sales Experience required
Start Date: Immediate
Compensation: Competitive base salary dependent on experience, bonus, equity, and benefits (including health coverage, phone/internet allowance, 401K match, unlimited PTO)

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Regional Sales Manager drives distribution and sales with
enthusiasm and passion for the company’s purpose, mission, and values. The position exists to drive sales, build market share, and increase brand awareness while establishing long-term relationships with distributors, brokers, and key customers within the designated region. 

Responsibilities:
  • Maximize sales and distribution of products to targeted customers through the execution of best-in-class Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, and Shelving (MAPS)
  • Ongoing tracking and improvement of key performance indicators, including ACV, Average Items Carried, Item Penetration, Market Share, Sales per Point of Distribution, Total Points of Distribution, and Velocity
  • Manage and grow business at existing key accounts such as Meijer, Hy-Vee, HEB, Albertsons, etc.
  • Secure new distribution at target accounts
  • Collaborate with VP of Sales on alternative channel opportunities within the region 
  • Focus on off-shelf opportunities including shipper sell-in
  • Manage brokers to expand distribution
  • Create and track promotional plans, leveraging scan data to improve lift & ROI
  • Leverage tools to forecast sales, manage trade spend and slotting
  • Manage details of new item launches to ensure submissions are correct, distribution and production is on schedule, and new items hit shelves on time and in full
  • Create SKU-level forecasts by retailer and channel and work with finance and operations team members to incorporate into demand plan
  • Develop shopper marketing programs and digital strategies for major retailers within the region
  • Create and deliver presentations for key accounts leveraging Nielsen data
  • Collaborate with brokers and DSD partners on strategies to drive in-store unit velocity including incremental displays, rep incentive programs, store promotional events, and marketing materials
Requirements:
  • 5+ years in CPG food sales, ideally salty snacks
  • Strong knowledge of Grocery & Natural retail and distributor landscape in the region
  • Proficient in analyzing Nielsen, SPINs, IRI/Circana, and retailer data
  • Highly proficient in Excel & Powerpoint
  • Highly organized, entrepreneurial, and positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills with strong experience and proven success leading presentations
  • Aggressive in securing off-shelf displays
  • Self-starter who naturally takes initiative and is excited to grow the business
  • Great at prioritizing tasks and goals and understands that in a start-up everyone needs to do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Willing to travel up to 40% and manage trade shows and sales events
