About The Position
This role will provide actionable insights through consistent analytical performance analysis and business support to National Retail Sales (NRS) customers, focusing on Walmart, Sam’s Club, CVS, Meijer, and Hy-Vee.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager Customer Analytics National Accounts, this person will provide actionable insights through consistent analytical performance analysis and business support to National Retail Sales (NRS) customers, focusing on Walmart, Sam’s Club, CVS, Meijer, and Hy-Vee. Help deliver against the vision & mission to be the supplier partner that drives our Customers’ beverage alcohol business by significantly improving quality and impact of customer solutions and drive execution. Furthermore, this individual will develop analysis to enable the reviews of customer performance and risks and opportunities against the planned jobs to be done. 

This position will drive the monthly and quarterly review processes for customer results and understand the potential impacts on Bacardi’s full year performance and health. This individual will liaise with the other commercial performance teams to understand the implications of customer results (both analytical and financial) to the Commercial Business Units that these customers operate (ie. Open, Control, and Franchise states). This individual will streamline processes and reporting to enable constant advanced analytical evaluation of commercial results for these National Retail Account customers.  

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Drive results & excellence in execution 
  • Act as the day-to-day Customer Analytics partner for the Bacardi USA National Retail Sales team, focusing primarily on Walmart, Sam’s Club, CVS, Meijer, Hy-Vee
  • Responsible for providing accurate and consistent business decision support, with insightful analyses via use of various internal and external data sources (syndicated data, depletions, consumer insights, etc.)
  • Responsible for developing insights, risks & opportunities that create value and grow both Bacardi as well as the customers business
  • Analyzes top line performance by customer, promotional activity analysis including ROI and customer P&L; identifies, evaluates, communicates risks and opportunities
  • Responsible for presenting to the customer as well as National Retail Sales leadership teams 
  • Supports as needed the planning and business routines needed to deliver industry-leading responses to Customer Joint Business Plans (JBP), which includes performing the required analytical support 
  • Drives the delivery of BUSA’s unique selling proposition to impact Bacardi’s business with our key National Retail Account customers
  • Performs commercial analytics, develops insights and communicates in a consistent manner internally and with our customers while understanding customer differences and delivering against various expectations
  • Ensures alignment on all aspects of internal commercial elements as it relates to the business units 
  • Leads the development of the monthly and quarterly business reviews on the national accounts business, focusing on analysis of future opportunities and understanding the performance drivers 
  • Continuously looks to improve and simplifies our processes as they relate to the planning, reporting and performance measurements of our brands and how we use our supporting systems and tools
  • Build and foster solid business partnering relationships with internal and external customers
Measures of Success
Performance: 
  • Actionable Insights: regularly deliver actionable customer performance insights that will lead to incremental sales opportunities   
  • Standard Reporting & Analysis: deliver regular reporting, analysis and commercial insights to the National Retails Sales teams
  • Customer Meetings: work closely with Account Managers developing the sales story for Customer Meetings, focusing on the analytics driven story, and assisting with the presentation the story
  • Promotional Analysis: perform pre-program and post-program analysis for all key promotional efforts to determine the effectiveness of each program
  • Ad Hoc Customer Analysis: preform ad hoc analysis at the direction of senior management and at own discretion with the objective of growing BUSA brand share and beating the competition
  • Advanced Analytics Education: continue to learn/discover new Advanced Analytics tools, processes, and resources, and use these tools to help drive the business
Making the Matrix work: work with other analytics counterparts, both commercial analytics and customer analytics, to standardized and streamline analytics processes

Talent: Deliver against talent management activities as measured via the Talent and annual development goals

Education 
  • BA/BS degree in Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative methods preferred Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting preferred
  • Fluent English (Oral & Written)
The following experiences are preferred:
  • 1-3 years experience in the Consumer Package Goods, Spirits, or broader beverage alcohol industry 
  • Exposure to and/or prior experience engaging with commercial/field sales organizations
  • Experience with planning/reporting/forecasting processes and tools
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint
  • Exposure/experience to statistical modelling methods and approaches
  • Strong analytical experience is essential
  • Fluent written and spoken English
