What You Will Do:
Mother-in-Law’s is looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to organize and oversee the daily operations of our company. Reporting to the Founder / CEO, you will ensure that our business is operating smoothly and efficiently through a variety of responsibilities, including purchasing, logistics, production, inventory, and regulatory compliance. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
•   Understand and monitor each aspect of operations for the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress
•   Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures and protocol according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
•   Collaborate with the Founder/CEO to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals for operational improvements such as manufacturing and storage operations and assist in the development of quality assurance programs for operations
•    Improve the business processes for all key aspects of operations such as manufacturing, supply chain and logistics through analysis and collaboration with internal team members and outside vendors
•   Identify problems in manufacturing and brainstorm continuous improvement strategies for the company
•    Analyze the performance of support functions of operations such as online shipping, customer service, and samples shipping and make recommendations for improvement
•   Develop and share best practices throughout the company
•   Create a positive team dynamic that encourages all employees to provide feedback and drive change to adapt to our continually evolving business 
•   Mentor, train and develop teammates for career progression and learning
•   Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
Supply Chain
•   Drive continuous improvement in supply chain related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery, while growing and expanding capabilities 
•   Research and implement best practice, innovative solutions, software and technologies
•   Develop and administer operational procedures for all production co-packers and supporting processes
•   Make recommendations on how to increase efficiencies, in order to save money, reduce cycle times, and improve customer satisfaction
•   Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
•   Assist in current product development and scale co-packer relationship
Quality Assurance
•    Design and implement overall quality of products manufactured by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics to ensure every production run meets required standards from safety, sensory, color, texture, flavor and quality specifications
•   Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
•   Ensure firm-wide compliance with Food Safety, Organic, HACCP, Non-GMO and all other regulations
•    Develop financial plans and on-going cost saving projects to collaborate with the Founder
•   Proactively drive strategic planning and forecasting to avoid major problems and propose cost-effective solutions
•   Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
•   Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
Who You Are:
The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan a variety of operational initiatives from quality assurance to production processes, forecasting and management. This role requires an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business and focus on people with coaching and development. Strong problem solving and sound decision-making skills are critical to the company’s growth and success. Excitement for working in a start-up environment with a high level of ambiguity and change is a must!
•   Minimum 5 years experience managing operations for a food manufacturer
•   BS/BA in business administration or relevant field
•   In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
•   Built and improved systems/processes to drive optimum performance and efficiency
•   Versatile leader with progressive experience across multiple departments (Supply Chain, Logistics, Production, Warehousing, Distribution operations)
•   Experience managing co-pack manufacturers and off-site warehouses preferred
•   Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines and food safety standards
•   Working knowledge of data analysis, performance/operation metrics
•   Experience developing budgets
•   Hands-on leadership style, drives change from within
•   Highly focused on the customer experience and delivering a quality product that is second to none
•   High level of integrity and ethics, with great follow through and a perfectly blended of leadership style of passion + strategy
•   Strong project management and continuous improvement skills
•   Strong verbal and written communication abilities
•   Familiarity with QuickBooks, MS Office (Excel) and various business software (CRM knowledge is a plus)
