About The Position

Description

The Sales Coordinator & Online Marketing Manager is a key sales & marketing role in our growing organization.    

The Sales Coordinator is in charge of our comprehensive online B2B product catalog that includes the product listings from all of our food & beverage Brand Partners, including keeping it updated, current, and ensuring that any sample requests made through the site are fulfilled in an effective and timely fashion.  This scope can include some copywriting and basic photo editing, as required.   

The Sales Coordinator is the principal marketing contact with our Brand Partners, including training them on the use/population of the online catalog.  Other related duties include sample shipments to airline partners for bid submissions, quarterly sample showcase shipments, and inventory/restocking/rotation of product samples.   The Sales Coordinator also manages active airline foodservice brokerage placements including processing/tracking Purchase Orders and receiving affiliated commission payment receipts from contracted Brand Partners.    

This role in onsite at our offices in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood on the north side, is responsible for the “day-to-day” operations and reports to the Director.   

Qualifications: 
● Four-year college degree required 
● Excellent communication & organization skills and a strong work ethic are critical to success in this role 
● Critical communication skills include email, verbal, and in-person (including meetings and food and airline industry trade shows as required) 
● Communication must be timely, comprehensive, and clear 
● Strong organizational and documentation skills 
● Ability to work independently 
● History of successful project management 
● Experience with website management, particularly WordPress 
● Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
● QuickBooks experience preferred but not required 

  Knowledge and Skills: 
● Must have the ability to plan, organize, work proactively, and set priorities 
● Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills 
● Must exercise initiative and decision-making skills 
● Decent copywriting skills required (well composed, marketing flair, ability to write short blurbs of compelling copy). Writing samples will be requested as part of interview process.   

Key duties and responsibilities: 
● Manage purchase orders and accounts receivable 
● Maintain and manage company website content and online catalog 
● Attend food and airline industry trade shows (4-6 shows per year; weekend travel required for some trade shows) 
● Other duties may be added as primary roles are mastered
