Co-founders Kiana Cabell and Gigi Goldman are the forces behind Kopari Beauty, a lifestyle-beauty brand that creates premium, coconut-oil based beauty products.

“Before we even had the idea for Kopari Beauty, our friends all thought we were coconut crazy,” the two co-founders told us. “As female founders from two different generations, we connected over a shared obsession for coconut oil.”

We checked in with them to learn how they Start It Sunday. For those of you just joining us, Start It Sunday is ForceBrands’ initiative designed to raise awareness around the ‘Sunday scaries’ (the anxiety that affects 76 percent of Americans that is caused by the impending return to work). The motivational campaign empowers people to fear no Sunday and take on every Monday.

Read on to discover how these female founders get their weeks underway.

Q: What does your Sunday routine look like? How do you prepare for the week ahead?
Gigi Goldman: Church. Family time. Favorite thing is to go to the beach and watch the kids surf and have a family dinner. Grocery store run and meal prep. Exercise.
Kiana Cabell: I love going to the farmers market on Sundays. That seems to be a Sunday ritual. I also try to just get out and do something active like yoga.

Q: How do you approach the start of each work week?
GG: The more prepared I am, the less stressed I am.
KC: I just go for it and try not to overthink things. It also helps if I’ve worked over the weekend to take things off my plate.

Q: What are some tips for motivating on Monday?
GG: Start the day with exercise and meditation.
KC: Go through your to-do list and set goals for the week.
