Company We Keep is an ongoing series that offers an inside look at the people and teams who power great brands

As a consultant in the pet food space, Renaldo Webb quickly discovered the inferior ingredients and substandard processes used to make mass-market pet food. It wasn’t until he adopted his dog Winston that he knew it was time to change the way pet food was made.

Pet Plate launched in 2016 with the goal of creating a healthier alternative to the dog food that was currently on the market. Since its launch, the company has grown to a team of more than 10 people in New York City. Its team has an active network of partners and consultants around the U.S. who assist with the nationwide delivery of Pet Plate’s fresh-cooked, human-grade dog food. All of Pet Plate’s recipes are uniquely designed by a board-certified vet nutritionist to ensure a complete and balanced diet for dogs.

Pet Plate

Although Pet Plate is a small, growing pet care company, its culture is defined around its mission to help pets live healthier, happier lives. Team members share a collective passion for dogs and are united in their mission to improve the lives of pets and to make it easier for owners to feed them. According to the company’s founder, this kind of dedication makes the work they do meaningful.

“The most rewarding part of my role as Founder and Chief Product Officer is seeing the testimonials from pet parents where Pet Plate has made a difference in the lives of their pets,” Webb told ForceBrands. “Many of the pet parents have exhausted other options and are beyond grateful to have found a fresh food solution that works for them and their pup.”
