About The Position
This is a role held by a highly, self-motivated professional with a proven track record in sales seeking to grow in an entrepreneurial setting. You are required to meet sales targets and help build a new brand in the specialty food trade.

The Area Sales Manager with Nature’s Best is a role held by a highly, self-motivated professional with a proven track record in sales seeking to grow in an entrepreneurial setting.  In this position you are required to meet sales targets and help build a new brand in the specialty food trade. The role requires drive, enthusiasm and a passion for our retail brand Pickerfresh specialty products and sales. 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

Sales 

·       Sell product by building, maintaining, and effectively managing a sales pipeline through distributors and brokers as well as through own direct accounts. 
·       Own and hit/exceed set sales targets within assigned territory 
·       Dedicate 80% of time, focus and efforts in the field towards achieving personal and team sales goals in several contiguous territories. 
·       Assist management in building promotional / merchandising programs  
·       Travel to customer locations to complete sales calls as required
·       Attend select trade events as required

 Relationship building 

·       Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
·       Partner with customers to understand business needs and objectives
·       Seek out new customers & develops a relationship with them

 Management of others

·       Lead and manage regional distributors and brokers
·       Assist with hiring and managing part time Brand Ambassadors

Other 

·       Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results
·       Work closely with management in strategy development and execution

Qualifications/ Skills:

·       Minimum 3-5 years sales experience in specialty food industry
·       Experience working with distributors and brokers
·       Regional (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic) Market knowledge
·       Track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
·       Strong presentation skills 
·       Excellent written and verbal skills
·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team  
·       Computer literate
·       Proven self-starter
·       Ability to work independently 
·       Capable to communicate, present and influence all levels of organization
