The position of Key Account Manager (KAM) at Karma Culture, LLC is responsible for overseeing and growing all sales/revenue, generating activity and relationships with both small and large format national accounts. The key role is to penetrate new chains while growing sales and revenue in existing Karma retailers. The KAM will be highly motivated with an understanding of small and large format retailers, work in a collaborative manner with peers to meet or exceed plan. The ideal candidate is a goal-oriented, multi-tasking, customer-focused individual who can quickly establish relationships and manage a growth-oriented sales strategy.


Essential job functions include:

  • Creating, building, and maintaining strategic partnerships with retailers to grow the portfolio of Karma Culture, LLC products in the assigned retailers and territory.
  • Conceptualizing and applying a sales strategy to target key customers and establish a dominant presence in the region.
  • Developing and executing promotional programs and activities with key partners.
  • Managing sales forecasts and budgets to achieve established goals to deliver profitable growth for assigned region.
  • Manage key national small and large format accounts while building long-term partnerships with retailers.  Manage contracts, pricing strategy and promotional activities to maximize sales volume and market share.
  • Work closely with DSD team to ensure executional excellence at all levels of supply chain and optimize product availability, shelf placement and promotional support.
  • Act as Karma Culture, LLC brand advocate, ensuring that all accounts and partners are fully aligned with company culture, initiatives and messaging.
  • Purse new business opportunities within both small and large format to drive incremental availability and growth, continuing to look for new avenues for the brand.
  • Managing sales reporting obligations in a timely manner including frequent sales updates, pricing surveys, etc.
  • Keeping abreast and reporting on products, category, innovation, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends.
  • Partnering with marketing on developing local or national initiatives, product launches and sales estimates.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve retail customer support.
  • Ensuring that costs are controlled and monitored, including ensuring that the Accounts Receivable objectives are met, and budgets are not exceeded. Perform billback preparations for agreed upon promotions with retailers.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Six+ years of sales experience in a beverage retail, and beverage distributor sales environment.
  • Demonstrated history of sales achievement in a hands-on sales environment.
  • Proven knowledge of beverage retail customers.
  • Resides in one of the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, Kansas, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee or Texas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers and DSD team; ability to collaborate at all levels.
  • Excellent at managing time, priorities, and expenses.
  • Ability to work independently while being a collaborator.
  • Proficiency using Excel, Word, VIP, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with forecasting, Nielsen/IRI, POS and Inventory reports
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50%
