About The Position
The Hotel California Tequila Brand Ambassador will serve as the primary in-market representative, educating and inspiring the hospitality trade community and support consumer education. The Brand Ambassador is the face and voice to establish a footprint at key accounts, support the marketing team at industry events and grow the awareness with a strong focus on the trade. The Brand Ambassador primary goal will be brand awareness by establishing relationships with influential bars, restaurants and liquor stores as well as providing trade advocacy and consumer samplings.

It is important that we grow the company with both, professional and personal goals in mind. Our commercial goals include but are not limited to supporting the growth and revenue for better marketing support, bonuses and quality production of the tequila in the bottle, we are also looking for people that are seeking a personal growth, gaining experience by sharing best practices within the team and having your own 1/3/5 year plan to grow with the brand and within the brand.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI) include:

Distributor
  • Distributor ride-alongs
  • Distributor support and education (be a source) and learn how to effectively benefit from healthy and communicative distributor interactions
  • Build effective relationships in market with distributor sales team
  • Provide GSM trainings to distributor sales reps on a regular schedule
Trade
  • Trade advocacy (trade training and education)
  • Event support
  • Build effective relationships to targeted ON-premise accounts, the bartending and bar management community to successfully increase sales
  • Develop a structure to frequently visit and support key accounts as outlines in KPI summary
  • Gain menu placements
  • Place and support Tequila flight activations and placements
  • Build effective relationships to targeted OFF-Prem accounts and support shelf and rack placements
  • Secure feature promotions in ON- and OFF-premise consistent with field marketing brand plans. Sales calls may be made in conjunction with distributor personnel on a work-with basis
Tracking/Administrative
  • Process tracking via CRM (Zoho and Trello)
  • 30/60/90 commercial plan development 
  • weekly team huddles (virtually)
  • T&E budget management to keep expenses within the established company guidelines and budgets
  • Sharing your opinion and competitive insight
  • Tracking and reporting KPIs
Additional Functions
  • Create target account list with VP of Sales and distributor contacts 
  • Operate within the laws and ways of working in each state
  • Find opportunities in market for added visibility, attention, education of on-premises and retailers
  • Responsible for achieving case sales goals, accounts sold goals and distribution goals, for both on premise and off premise business with all distributors
  • Make appropriate pricing/programming and merchandising recommendations to your Manager for approval and implementation
  • Can serve and travel to surrounding markets (RI and CT) based on approved schedule
Qualifications & Experience
  • Progressive Sales experience
  • Direct accountability for results – goal oriented
  • Self-starting enthusiasm with can-do attitude
  • Relationship development- ability to develop relationships and influence accounts, mixologists and distributor teams
  • Passion or strong interest to gain expertise in distilled spirits
  • Resourceful, creative and organized with ability to manage timelines and KPI goals 
  • Professional and respectful verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player
Preferred Skills
  • Recognized credibility in local mixology / bartending community a plus
  • Distributor background a plus
  • On-premise sales, marketing or promotion experience
  • Existing relationships with top accounts in the local market
  • DUI free (last 7 years) and responsible behavior
