Associate Manager, Multicultural Marketing - NY & NJ

The Associate Manager, Multicultural Marketing is responsible for connecting their regional team to the cultural nuances and trends amongst diverse consumer segments, including but not limited to BIPOC, Hispanic/Latinx, Asian-American and LGBTQ+. This role develops the region's multicultural strategy and supports the ideation, planning, execution, tracking, and evaluation of all marketing programs that drive the Beam Suntory multicultural strategy and priorities through all channels.
  • Spearhead multicultural marketing at the local level to build out organizational capabilities
  • Close collaboration with sales, marketing, distributors, and cross-functional partners
  • Utilize creativity and practical application of initiatives
  • Leverage your expertise in the consumer and connecting at the local level to bring the Beam Suntory portfolio to life
  • Gain intimate knowledge of both marketing and sales functions

Role Responsibilities
  • Partner with regional brand and marketing teams to strategize, develop and implement fully integrated and localized multi-cultural marketing programs, focused on priority brands (CV, MM, JB, HOR, ET) and demographic groups across all channels and consumer touchpoints.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager, Regional Brand Managers, Industry Affairs, Intellectual Property and Sales to ensure local programming adheres to brand guidelines, state and federal regulations, and properly protects our intellectual property.
  • Lead development of partnership/sponsorship programming and execution across the multicultural market and interface with applicable Regional Brand Managers, Marketing Manager, MC COE and Sales leadership on all national partnership programs to determine value, execution, compliance, POS needs and program feedback.
  • Work with Marketing Manager to ensure the adequate procurement of promotional materials to support local multicultural programs.
  • Ensure quality, cost efficiencies, program effectiveness, and on-time delivery of local multicultural programs.
  • Develop and manage multicultural programming calendar, program tracking and post-campaign performance reporting.
  • Coordinate with Regional Brand Managers and Marketing Manager to support the local execution of national sampling and national event programming in Multicultural account universe
  • Champion MC efforts and Gemba in market to guide local market stakeholders and support executing with excellence in the field

BI Management:
  • Assist the RBMs & Marketing Manager with planning, allocation and spend of yearly MC brand investment (BI)
  • Manage multicultural budget deployment, planning, forecasting, and results within budget parameters & participate in BI budget review meetings with all stakeholders (monthly review/quarterly deep dive)
  • Provide input and recommendations for all incremental program and funding requests to maximize and track return on investment (ROI)

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in brand or trade marketing
  • Multicultural Marketing experience required
  • Strong financial acumen, knowledge of Salesforce.com and SAP a plus
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office; specifically, Excel & PPT
  • Strong and effective communication skills and project management
  • Ability to conceptualize and think strategically while developing work plans, as well as work independently
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally across functions
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics and consumer/cultural trends
  • Travel - up to 25%

Desired qualifications
  • Previous industry experience a plus
  • Strong on- and off-premise brand building experience
  • Experience managing premium brands and knowledge across spirits categories
  • Passion for the brands and categories
  • Time Management and analytical capabilities
