About the Role
As a key part of the National RGM team, you will be accountable for creating value and financial impact for our company, and be considered an expert in our value chain. You will help build and develop RGM capabilities within the Finance and Marketing organization to drive sustainable NSV and GP growth by focusing on the continual development of price aspirations, strategies, and Commercial guidelines. 

Your ability to combine a strategic business approach while managing multiple projects at any given time will be key, as will be your comfort in working seamlessly within the matrix, in particular with Customer Marketing, Finance, Commercial Performance, and Marketing. This individual will strive relentlessly to embed RGM strategy in the annual planning process, and develop innovation revenue strategies.  

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Support Brand/Marketing annual growth in net revenue and gross profit per case through a best in class Revenue Growth Management practice (analysis, strategy and programs) that is fully embedded in the Integrated Activity Planning (IAP) process.
  • Help build and embed the functional capability and organizational understanding of Pricing and RGM strategy within the Marketing and Finance departments
  • Continuously track and monitor pricing activities and movements in the competitive landscape, providing recommended courses of action to senior leadership
  • Lead development of innovation revenue strategies as a key member of all innovation cross-functional teams
  • Lead initiatives/projects related to the acquisition of retail price data and revenue management analysis
  • Provide RGM and value chain leadership and training for the Marketing department
  • Work closely with Finance and Commercial Performance on mix (market/brand/size) improvement strategy
  • Embed Revenue Growth Management (RGM) practices in the Brand team IAP process 
  • Lead annual review, analysis, and redeployment of regional price strategies and guidelines
  • Apply the frameworks and capability to manage and drive profitability by channel enabling customer marketing and commercial teams to effectively allocate resources.
  • Evaluate current pricing strategies and competitive pricing data to make pricing recommendations to Commercial RGM that will maximize net sales
  • Take a leadership role in initiating, managing and executing ad-hoc projects, as well as cross-functional revenue management and value chain training 
  • Support Finance and Marketing teams with all pricing related needs
  • Lead revenue strategy for all innovation
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, identify issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Good judgment and ability to manage details yet see the bigger picture to ensure solutions alignment.

Measures of Success
  • Performance: Achieve Total Net Sales Value (NSV) and Gross Profit growth targets vs. budget and NSV and GP per case target ahead of plan
  • Value share: Deliver target value share growth
  • IAP & Execution: Build a CBU framework of RGM Best Practices and timely delivery of IAP targets and its agreed RGM programs in all markets
  • Customer: Help guide and deliver upon Customer Profitability targets 
  • Employee Engagement: Drive sustained improvement in engagement and enablement, as measured through the Employee Engagement Survey (EES)
  • Talent: Deliver against talent management objectives
Critical Experiences for Success
To be successful in this role you will have/be: 
  • Strong understanding of Profit and Loss (P&Ls), pricing fundamentals, and the value chain of the two and three tier markets of the Spirits industry in the US
  • Ability to work in a group environment and independently, including interaction with Senior/Executive level management.  
  • Strong working knowledge of the US spirits pricing environment
  • Experience developing advanced pricing models, presenting action focussed results, and helping lead the implementation of aligned strategies
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment. 
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills a must.  Strong technical, analytical and reporting skills are required, as well as system skills
  • Work with peers to develop standard pricing analytical approaches/reports that can be applied across all brands/markets.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, identify issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Strong Commercial and Financial acumen
  • Take a leadership role in initiating, managing and executing ad-hoc projects.
The following experiences are preferred:
  • Commercial and Finance experience 
  • Experience within one or more companies that have an established reputation for shopper marketing excellence 
  • Experience in the Spirits and/or overall beverage Industry is a distinct advantage 
Education: 
  • MBA/BBA/Bcomm or BA/BS degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative methods
