Job Description – Southeast Region Manager
The position objectives are to build brand awareness and interest with distributors and trade, drive sales and generate turns. Grow the brand through support of account relationships, events, and programs. As a small company, we all wear many hats and must exude an entrepreneurial attitude. Majority of time is spent in field. This position will be responsible for Chains, Independents, and On-Premise. Opportunity for the position will grow as we do.
Distributor Management
1. Build strong relationships based on mutual respect and outstanding follow-up throughout the distributor organization.
a. We are working with Breakthru Florida, so strong relationships with them are a must.
2. Demonstrate commitment to grow business by partnering on creation of programming and management of brand spend.
3. Maintain schedule of opportunities for the brand to be presented at GSM’s, team meetings, blitzes and work-withs.
4. Ensure shelf prices match strategy. Be aware of and knowledgeable of competitor pricing. Carefully monitor distributor prices so that they match agreed upon standard margins and deal levels. Monitor bill-backs for spend against allowance budgets. Track monthly progress against budget and confirm with distributor.
5. Closely oversee distributor inventories and calculate “Months on Hand” based on future depletion targets. Maintain minimum inventories of 30 days on hand where possible.
6. Set and achieve depletion and distribution goals split by channel for distributor and ensure that all managers know the targets and are committed to achieve them.
7. Conduct a detailed quarterly review that results in alignment between Distributor/Whiskey JYPSI on what actions need to be taken to hit or exceed goals.
Develop and Manage Key Accounts
1. Maintain an organized list of key accounts in the territory
2. Call on Key accounts on an ongoing basis to review brand priorities
3. Manage important accounts through personal involvement, executing programs and conducting staff education.
a. Travel throughout the state and working street is a must.
In the Field
1. Regularly attend On-premise promotional events to oversee, assist and evaluate the quality of the promotion.
2. Direct accounts in proper and effective merchandising and consumer awareness of brands.
3. Conduct staff training with both On and Off-premise accounts
