Who You Are:
You are a scrappy, self-motivated, and strategic Regional Sales Manager who is hungry to forge new relationships and identify opportunities to drive sales within the Central and West Regions. You are someone who works collaboratively with a “we” (not “me”) mindset. You are an expert at “rolling up your sleeves” and getting to work immediately to get products sold into highly competitive markets.
The Task At Hand:
The Regional Sales Manager’s responsibilities include oversight and execution of all sales activities for select Grocery Retailers, achieving market penetration, and developing new and existing business partners. This involves strategically developing, implementing, and managing retailer programs that maximize short- and long-term company objectives. It also involves managing and motivating a broker sales team and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. This individual will work closely with the Director of Sales- Grocery, along with other departmental leads.
In This Role, You Will: Have a proactive and organized approach to sales development, address day-to-day operating issues, and provide strategic input. Key areas of focus will include leadership across a variety of fronts: account management, planning, forecasting, data analysis, new product and in-store execution, marketing and trade programs, and the ability to help drive significant distribution gains. All business activities must be done in a way that underscores the social mission of Once Upon A Farm.
• Drive Gross Sales:
o Work closely with brokers, distributors, and external retail business partners to develop mutually beneficial strategies by account.
o Develop and own strategy for trade promotions and customer spending by account.
o Build an accurate forecast and ensure its implementation across retail partners.
• Increase TDP Growth and Achieve Optimal Placement:
o Define and secure new business and TDP growth.
o Manage broker team to achieve optimal execution and merchandising results.
• Grow Market Share, Have Expert Knowledge of Category and Competition:
o Proactively communicate and develop plans for sales/share/category/competition.
o Identify business efficiency opportunities and help close white space opportunities.
• Build Business Relationships and Communications:
o Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers.
o Develop, foster, and maintain strong internal and customer/distributor relationships while ensuring proper communication of vital information.
o Regularly update and communicate progress to management.
• Prioritize Data Analytics and Reporting:
o Pull, analyze, and report data and insights for the organization regarding sales performance for your accounts.
In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:
• Minimum 3–5 years of Headquarter Sales or Account Management experience within the CPG industry, specifically Central and West Grocery accounts such as, but not limited to, Hy-Vee, Schnucks, Lunds & Byerlys, Cub Foods, AWG, Woodman’s, Smart & Final, Central & West Independents.
• Preferably located in the Central or Mountain time zones, near major airports (Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City, St. Louis, Denver, and Dallas/Fort Worth).
• Experience with UNFI and KeHE preferred.
• Experience with other accounts such as Save Mart, Raley’s, Stater Brothers, Meijer, Wegmans, Publix, Albertsons, and HEB is a plus.
• Ability to develop and sell creative data stories utilizing SPINs, IRI, Numerator, and other data insights.
• Customer knowledge to build efficient trade plans and develop growth strategies.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to set priorities and manage multiple account and broker contacts.
• Proven success with respected consumer packaged goods companies with broker business models and direct sales management.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, understand business needs deeply, develop a cohesive strategy, and make decisions requiring a high level of judgment.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms.
• Ability to travel extensively within the Region. Up to 50% travel may be required for category reviews, retailer requests, market visits, broker meetings, and company or department offsites.
• Genuine passion for improving childhood nutrition for a healthier and happier planet.
• Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Sales preferred.

Compensation:
• Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt.
• The anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000.00 to $130,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks.
