Mezcalum is hiring for a dynamic Sales Manager for the New York City Metropolitan market. Mezcalum is an all-natural, artisanal mezcal, blending together Oaxacan heritage & sophisticated Tulum vibe. We are building a culture of those who value wellness and balance, yet enjoy a nice drink at the end of the day. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly launched brand as one of the first Sales Managers, reporting directly into the SVP of Sales.
Responsibilities:
· Identify and develop new accounts consisting of liquor stores, restaurants, bars, hotels
· Primary territories include Manhattan, Brooklyn, and The Hamptons

· Work with distributor personnel in attaining and increasing their respective sales and distribution objectives
· Coordinate with the SVP of Sales on programming with assigned distributor channels (Reps, specialist, Managers etc…)
· Develop and manage a key account list, engaging with key buyers to secure distribution and velocity
· Closely monitor inventory, sales and program execution by the distributors
· Prepare functional sales reports to include distribution, displays and features as well as overall distributor sales and goals
· Provide monthly activity reports to Mezcalum management
· Develop budget recommendations for market and work with the SVP of Sales to track and ensure ROI
· Regularly review shipments and depletions reports and make proactive plans accordingly
· Monitor and report on pricing, current trends and opportunities within the market
· Create brand visibility through off-premise displays
· Execute consumer tasting events and other consumer facing activations

Requirements:
· Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the wine and spirits industry
· Must be based in the NYC Metropolitan area
· Ability to work independently and to plan their own time and activities
· Must be comfortable working on a high-performance fast paced entrepreneurial team
· Willingness to work full-time, non-traditional hours and travel as required
· Strong interpersonal / presentation skills to influence and partner with customers as well as train and present to distributor teams
· Business computer proficiency including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
· Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner at all times
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Must have valid driver’s license
