Marketplace Sales Manager

Overview:
The Marketplace Sales Manager (MSM) at Kush.com is responsible for driving membership growth and retention, selling marketing solutions and advertising space, and maximizing the value of the Kush.com Marketplace for both existing and new members in the cannabis and hemp industry. The MSM will focus on converting prospects into premium members, managing warm leads, and offering tailored marketing solutions to enhance customer success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Membership Retention & Acquisition:
  • Prioritize renewals of annual premium memberships and onboard new members in the cannabis and hemp industry.
  • Follow-up on leads, renewals, and upsell marketing solutions (e.g., storefronts, advertising, email campaigns).
  • Sales & Relationship Management:
  • Manage a pipeline of warm leads, prioritize top spenders, and nurture new non-paid marketplace users.
  • Engage current customers, especially top advertisers and distribution retailers, to offer new marketing products.
  • Provide feedback and update CRM (Salesforce) with contact details, customer insights, and progress.
  • Daily Tasks:
  • Review and follow up with members coming up for renewal and those who have shown interest in the past.
  • Contact leads from Salesforce, engage in calls, and send follow-up emails.
  • Track progress using Salesforce CRM tools and update lead status (e.g., qualified, converted, lost).
  • Pitch relevant marketing solutions and memberships to maximize value for members.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
  • Work closely with marketing and leadership to stay informed on monthly priorities, promotions, and targeted campaigns.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer needs and product offerings.

Tools & Access:
  • Salesforce CRM, Pardot, Kush.com, Sales Tools, and promotional assets.
Qualifications:
  • Proven sales experience, ideally in SaaS, digital marketing, or Cannabis/Hemp industries.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage customer relationships.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools (Salesforce experience preferred).
  • Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset.
