Job Summary:
The Chicago Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for Inspiro Tequila’s sales, distribution, and account management in the Chicagoland area. This role requires a results-driven, strategic professional with a deep understanding of the local spirits market and a proven track record in sales. The Territory Sales Manager will work closely with distributors, on and off-premise accounts, and the Inspiro Tequila's Sales Director to drive revenue growth, improve market penetration, and build a strong brand presence. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in relationship management, market analysis, and team leadership to ensure success across the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Territory Management
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives in the Chicagoland market.
- Utilize market relationships to gain distribution in regional chains and key on-premise accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviors to identify growth opportunities.
- Work closely with distributors and account managers to optimize sales efforts.
2. Account Management & Relationship Building
- Build and maintain relationships with key on-premise (bars, restaurants, hotels) and off-premise (retail) accounts to drive brand loyalty and product demand.
- Regularly visit accounts to ensure proper brand representation, merchandising, and promotional execution.
- Act as a primary point of contact for account partners, providing product education and training to maximize product placement and visibility.
3. Brand Promotion & Activation
- Collaborate with the Sales Director to plan and execute brand activations, promotions, and events to boost consumer engagement.
- Develop, manage, and execute promotional activities, such as in-store tastings, sampling events, and special sponsorships to increase brand awareness.
- Lead digital marketing and social media initiatives within the area to amplify brand presence.
4. Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Track, analyze, and report on sales performance, promotions, and market trends, adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, sales, and expenses, and prepare reports for senior management with insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 4 years of experience in alcohol sales with a proven ability to drive sales and build relationships within the spirits industry.
- Experience selling at the local, regional, and chain level.
- Deep knowledge of the Illinois spirits market, including on and off-premise accounts, and key industry contacts.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationships with key customers.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal liquor laws is required.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, sales software, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong written, oral, and presentation skills are a must.
- Organization and time management skills required.
- Willing to travel within the area and work evenings and weekends as needed for events.

- Knowledge of digital marketing and social media as they apply to spirits promotion.
- Certified Spirits Specialist (CSS) or similar certification is a plus.
- Able to lift 30 pounds
