About the Role:
The Market Manager will be responsible for driving sales, mentoring sales reps, and expanding on-premise relationships in Queens and Brooklyn. This is a hands-on, street-focused role ideal for someone with existing industry connections and a passion for managing a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with sales reps in the field, providing coaching and support to grow their accounts
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with on-premise accounts, particularly in the restaurant and hospitality sectors
- Leverage technology to track performance, manage sales, and enhance efficiency
- Represent the brand at industry events, tastings, and trade shows
- Collaborate with internal teams to align on sales strategies and market expansion
- Manage a small team, ensuring their growth and success within the organization
- Maintain an active presence in the market, spending most of the week engaging with accounts
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of industry experience in a distributor or supplier role
- Established relationships with on-premise accounts in Queens, Brooklyn
- Experience managing or mentoring a team in a sales-driven environment
- Strong knowledge of wine, with WSET Level II or higher preferred
- Tech-savvy, comfortable using sales tools and CRM systems to drive performance
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Passion for the industry and the ability to educate and inspire sales teams
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary of $95,000 - $120,000
- Quarterly and Annual performance-based bonus structure
