Fentimans North America is the North American Importer for Fentimans Botanically Brewed Beverages a 120 year old beverage company originating in Hexham, UK (Newcastle,UK).  We are one of a few companies in the world that sticks to the tradition of brewing ginger beer as it was originally conceived.

Today Fentimans produces a broad range of gourmet craft sodas and mixers in multiple pack sizes.

This position will be reporting directly into Jeff Powers - General Manager US.  The company currently employs beverage brokers to support the Supermarket and Food Service business and also has a DSD footprint across the country. The newly hired representative will have the responsibility of working with the brokers and supporting the distributors throughout the territory working with end users, distributor reps, key accounts and street accounts.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a high-performing Sales Representative based in the Upper Mid-West US. The candidate should possess significant ambition, strong leadership qualities, and a desire to join a smaller organization with aggressive growth aspirations.

The ideal candidate will visit key accounts and work with local distributors and distributor sales reps to achieve sales objectives. The position requires a self- motivated, organized, energetic, and creative person.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain an organized list of key accounts in the territory 
  • Sell our brand to key and street accounts in coordination with local distributors and brokers
  • Call on, and provide high-level service support to, retail and on-premise accounts.
  • Enhance the business by gaining new points of distribution
  • Work with distributor management and sales to achieve goals.
  • Educate account managers and distributor personnel on proper and effective merchandising: 
    • Work with on and off premise accounts for product placement
    • Put together promotions and incentives with key accounts
  • Conduct brand events as required
  • Develop new business and maintain existing distributor and trade relationships.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proven success in sales call strategies
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Creative presentation/public speaking and premium selling skills are a must
  • Innovative and creativity in approaching accounts and expanding business
  • Ability to formulate account strategies and execute against them
  • Ability to work independently as well as take direction to achieve brand initiatives
  • Professional demeanor in working with brokers, distributors, retail reps and consumers
  • Sales or Marketing experience a plus
  • Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle to travel and transport promotional merchandise/samples between accounts within assigned territory
  • Must be able to use basic features in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Must be prepared to travel within territory
