Turquoise Life is recruiting for a full-time Director of Finance.
 
The Director of Finance will be responsible for the financial and operational management at Turquoise Life.  This will require an acute understanding of the wine and spirits importing industry as well as a keen focus on maximizing return on investment, monitoring cash flow, gaining efficiencies with our operations, and generating profitability to the Company.  The Finance & Operations Director will also establish financial policies, procedures, controls, budgets, reporting systems and ensure timely and accurate reporting. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
§  Work closely with Accounting Team to produce monthly financial statements and ensure that they are issued timely, and all balance sheet and income statements are accurately reconciled
 
§  Implement and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
 
§  Manage all aspects of financial and accounting systems and processes including, A/P, A/R and revenue accounting, payroll, fixed assets, general ledger functions and internal financial reporting
 
§  Manage and control all inventory on an ongoing basis
 
§  Manage all procurement, delivery costs
 
§  Manage all purchasing costs and forecast future costs and propose operational efficiency and cost reduction plans for future costs
 
§  Manage expense allocations from various departments and ensure accurate account coding
 
§  Work closely with Operations team to manage, track, reconcile and record all inventory movements and ensure month- end inventory physical count and reconciliation is accurately recorded to accounting system
 
§  Deliver monthly sales and financial reports with analysis and recommendations
 
§  Work with the President to provide financial guidance and prepare the annual budgeting process, preparation and presentation
 
§  Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to President
 
§  Provide financial analysis and recommendations as needed for capital investments, pricing and costing decisions, and contract negotiations
 
§  Manage commercial banking relationships to facilitate appropriate credit resource under competitive terms
 
§  Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings such as sales tax, property tax, excise tax and import tax
 
Requirements for Success:
 
§  BS degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA credential is preferred, MBA is a plus
 
§  Ten years of experience in all aspects of accounting and operations
 
§  Experience working with a wine importer is preferred
 
§  Proven ability to enhance business results
