About the Job
Stockwell Reserve is fast-paced and employs a passionate & high-performing team of sales professionals. This role reports to the Vice President of Sales. The New Mexico State Manager will be responsible for establishing, developing, and fostering the presence of Santa Fe Spirits brands through activation in high-volume and highly rated on and off-premise establishments within New Mexico with a heavy concentration in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Las Cruces with our distributor partner Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits.

The ideal candidate in this role will maximize the performance of our brands to increase business opportunities and generate revenue from key and target accounts, complementing the efforts of our sales teams and our distributor sales teams. In this role, you are expected to become the preferred resource within these establishments executing KPI for account calls, new placements, displays, staff trainings, retail tastings, shelf resets, consumer happy hours, and cocktail list placements.

Qualifications & Experience

Requirements:
  • College degree
  • 3+ years of spirits sales experience in the New Mexico market
  • Track record of results
  • Strong selling and communication skills, oral and written
  • Availability and flexibility to workdays, nights, and weekends as needed to support the business
  • Driver’s license with reliable transportation

To be successful in this role you will:
  • See an average of 40 local accounts /week and expect regional travel 1 – 2 days /month
  • Exceed goals related to placements, retail tastings, happy hours, and trade education
  • Create and maintain lasting connections through existing and new account contacts
  • Operate at a fast pace and have a competitive spirit
  • Develop relationships with influential accounts, bars, and bartenders to increase opportunities for the distributor sales teams
  • Serve as brand spokesperson at key Brand and Cocktail events
  • Provide social media content

Responsibilities
  • Achieve revenue and depletion goals for assigned market territory, through account placements and velocity improvements at points of distribution
  • Develop relationships with influential accounts, bars and bartenders to increase opportunities for the distributor sales teams
  • Train, lead and support the distributor team
  • Implement brand programs and incentives
  • Conduct consumer tastings at retail
  • Managing sales budget
  • In-account activation execution and planning
  • Serve as brand spokesperson at key Brand and Cocktail events
  • Social media input
  • Ensure execution and compliance with all company policies & procedures
