Southern Glazer's offers a competitive compensation package. Pay is hourly with expected first year earnings between $52,478 - $79,040 / year. This is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

Accurately process all import entry documentation and transmit data electronically via ACE system within timeframes required by all federal agencies and in accordance with company policy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process import entry documentation utilizing the ACE system
  • Submit ISF Import Security Filing to US Customs in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate processing of documents with U.S. Customs relating to all imported merchandise
  • Follow up with all import shipments as required by federal agencies
  • Comply with established company and department polices and procedures
  • Maintain duty calculation spreadsheets and entry documentation checklists, as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or 2 years college education
  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or International Relations fields preferred
  • 7 years professional experience filing import entry documents
  • ACE (Editrade/Descartes software knowledge preferred)
  • 5 + years professional experience working with various ocean and air carriers and freight forwarders / consolidators
  • Knowledge and experience with FDA Prior Notice required
  • Knowledge and experience filing ISF required
  • Strong understanding of supply chain requirements, processes, and tracking of import shipments
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of data accuracy
  • Strong communication skills - written, verbal, persuasion, motivation, facilitation of strong working relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, presentation, and communications skills


Physical Demands

  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or mobile device
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
