Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Technical Reporting Lead to spearhead our reporting transformation efforts within the SAP S/4 ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in migrating reporting capabilities from legacy systems (AS400 and SAP ECC) to SAP S/4HANA, while integrating data lake architecture for advanced analytics and enterprise reporting.
This role requires deep technical expertise in reporting tools, data architecture, SAP analytics, and ERP transformations, alongside hands-on experience in large-scale ERP reporting migrations. The Senior Director will lead the technical design, development, and deployment of reports, ensuring alignment with business requirements and driving insights that foster operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities
Technical Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead the end-to-end reporting transformation journey from AS400 and SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
- Define the architecture and roadmap for operational reporting, embedded analytics, and enterprise reporting utilizing SAP and data lake technologies.
- Drive the adoption of SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics, CDS views, and SAP Fiori apps for real-time operational insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Finance, and Operations to translate business needs into effective technical reporting solutions.
ERP Reporting Implementation and Migration:
- Oversee the migration of reports from legacy systems (AS400/SAP ECC) to SAP S/4, ensuring minimal disruption and continuity.
- Design, develop, and implement custom reports and dashboards on SAP S/4HANA.
- Provide technical expertise on CDS views, SAP Fiori apps, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for embedded and operational reporting.
Enterprise Reporting and Data Lake Integration:
- Establish frameworks for integrating data lake architectures (AWS) with SAP S/4 data for enterprise-wide reporting and analytics.
- Define data ingestion pipelines, governance models, and real-time/batch reporting solutions leveraging the data lake and SAP ecosystem.
- Ensure data consistency and quality across SAP and non-SAP systems within the reporting landscape.
Data Architecture and Governance:
- Develop and enforce data architecture principles, governance standards, and security protocols for operational and enterprise reporting.
- Drive best practices in metadata management, report versioning, and data lineage.
Collaboration and Team Leadership:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure technical alignment of reporting solutions with business goals.
- Lead a team of SAP reporting developers, data engineers, and SAP specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Act as a technical liaison with SAP partners and vendors to leverage innovations in analytics and reporting technologies.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in SAP analytics, embedded reporting, and data lakes to recommend future improvements.
- Optimize report performance and user experience by incorporating feedback from business users and monitoring analytics KPIs.
- Lead change management initiatives to promote the adoption of new reporting solutions across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in ERP reporting, analytics, and data architecture, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
- Proven track record in migrating reporting systems from AS400/SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, with hands-on experience in operational and embedded reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA analytics tools, including CDS views, SAP Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and BW/4HANA.
- Expertise in data lakes (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their integration with enterprise ERP systems for large-scale reporting.
- Experience with data governance and metadata management for enterprise reporting environments.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing real-time operational reports and dashboards using SAP tools.
- Strong understanding of data architecture and reporting frameworks in SAP environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in hybrid reporting solutions, integrating SAP systems with external data sources or BI tools.
- Expertise in real-time reporting tools and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive complex ERP reporting transformations.
- SAP certification (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud) is a plus.
