Overview

The Director of Media Planning & Operations will be responsible for working closely with clients to strategize campaigns, developing media plans to support client goals and ROI, and collaborating cross-functionally with account, ad tech, and traffic teams to ensure smooth campaign delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, stay informed about industry trends and best practices, and demonstrate expertise in media buying and planning strategies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and develop strategic media plans that align with their goals and target audience.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including trade development, digital analytics, Ad Operations, and traffic teams, to ensure seamless execution and delivery of campaigns.
  • Analyze market trends, audience insights, and campaign performance data to optimize media plans and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in media planning and buying.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the media planning team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Develop and present comprehensive media recommendations and post-campaign analyses to clients, demonstrating the value and impact of the campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, privacy policies, and ethical standards in all media planning and buying activities.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (10 years) in media planning, buying, and operations, preferably in an advertising agency or media organization.
  • Strong understanding of digital and traditional media channels, including display, video, social, search, and programmatic advertising.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to clients and internal stakeholders.


  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in media planning and ad tech platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Google Ad Manager, DSPs, DMPs, etc.).
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and media vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
