About the Role
The Field & Trade Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development of LAV’s agency brands. We’re looking for someone who is interested in event, field, and trade marketing activation with a passion for the health and wellness CPG space. The role requires a basic understanding of the CPG landscape and general consumer marketing. This role reports directly to the Director of Brand Experience and is accountable for growing and retaining each brands’ customer base, building brand awareness and loyalty, and supporting product sales and awareness. This is a hybrid role that will require coming into the office 1-2 times a week, some weekend work, and ~ <10% traveling. 

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for growing and retaining the brands’  customer base, building brand awareness and loyalty, and supporting product sales within his/her region
  • Execute local Los Angeles events including logistics, planning, and reporting
  • Organize and manage various promotional events such as product launches, tastings, and community outreach initiatives to create brand awareness and engage target consumers
  • Help identify, establish, and nurture relationships with key local partners, such as event venues, retailers, and influencers, to leverage co-marketing opportunities
  • Help conduct thorough market research to understand consumer preferences, local market trends, and competitor activities, and incorporate findings into strategic decision-making
  • Help manage a team of local brand ambassadors for demo and event activations
  • Act as an advocate of the brands when out in the field
  • Assist in maintaining retailer marketing calendars and internal trackers with promotional activities and marketing activations to share with the broader organization
  • Liaise with the marketing team to coordinate and then execute all mailings of coupons, SWAG & POS materials
  • Manage all inventory of POS and SWAG storage unit, including maintaining and tracking inventory levels, alerting the team when stock is low, and reordering materials as needed
  • Establish a feedback loop with consumers and local stakeholders to gather insights and suggestions, which can be used to refine marketing strategies and adapt to changing market dynamics
  • Ensure all marketing activities adhere to brand guidelines and comply with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives and alignment with sales objectives
  • Work with the internal team on meeting agenda topics, issue detailed and timely meeting recaps, and manage follow-ups

Qualifications
  • Background in marketing, business, communications, or another related field 
  • Strong communication skills - knows how to use full sentences and proper grammar and spelling
  • CPG or food/beverage experience is a plus
  • Driver’s license and car required
  • Ability to lift up a minimum of 30 lbs.
  • Some weekend work required
  • Travel is required for events
